Rocket Rally
This has got to be the most idiotic, chaotic ♥♥♥♥ing mess anyone could come up with. It's absolutely random if you win or not and it really shows that when it comes to driving the player is simply at a disadvantage: opponents steer better while you just sway all around the place, the physics is crazy random and acts very strangely and oppoonents also shoot a lot better which is extremely infuriating as you can't even aim with your rockets, you just fire them and hope for the best.

id, stick to the shooting. What I really don't understand though is that there really is only one badly implemented racing mode: rocket rally and that's the one ♥♥♥♥ing racing mode you overuse at the end of the game. WHY DO THAT?

the only really difficult rallies, are the ones that take place both in the Shipyard (Pulse Rally), and the Authority Area (Rocket Rally), and that's because either the rallies themselves are completely random, or the A.I. drivers go much faster than you (and that's after maxing-out your vehicles)

That last bit (getting left behind in a straight after maxing out the car) really annoyed me at the end, it felt like upgrading the car was pointless because of it. I got through the Pulse rally event on my first try on Nightmare but I think that was just luck, the part where I was really pissed was the level that is basically just a huge bumpy open environment where you're the only one who's bouncing around and your opponents just stick to the surface "because reasons."

Rocket rally just felt flawed to me during the whole game, even when it was easy. It's a shame because the idea itself is not bad, it could give way to cool tactical battles but frankly it's hard to be tactical when you don't even know which cars represent the different drivers so you just can't do stuff like for example "oh, there's the guy who's in the lead, I'm second, the others are a bit behind, let's attack him."

The other thing that bugs me is that you just can't manage your resources like a pro: a lot of times I had almost full health, some rockets were fired at me, I was like "okay, let's save that last shield for a bit later, I'll be able to take those rockets in without blowing up" and then I just blow up guess because more than one rockets were fired at me at the same time but I had no idea about that because the game didn't tell me. What's also bad is that the rocket lock-on mechanics is highly unreliable, practically you can only be sure that your rockets hit is if yoU're shooting in a straight line while dodging enemy rockets is next to impossible.

actually the rocket rallies are easy because they ALL have a pattern to where they spawn. Seriously, just learn the patterns and you know where to go....and which ones to go after or skip. The pulse rally one in the authority area is easy....you just have to make sure you use your shields accordingly.

Instance: the first rally is with the highway overpass......just stick around the overpass and go down the first ramp and go back up again in an oval. Dont worry about the 2 points by the authority building by Joes swamp. Peace of cake.

the Canyon one makes me laugh sometimes, due to the occasional mutant that'll run onto the track and getting himself run over

yeah, it's always in that spot as you're going around that sharp left hand corner...
