Rage game Windows 11

I am trying to run Rage on windows 11, but it launch as a black screen and stayed that for a long time. I am not quite sure, how to fix this problem.

game has been running on my win 11 desktop since Dec 2021. did not do anything special to get it running.

perhaps check antivirus log? might be blocking the game.

game needs to create folder
c:\users\yourWindowsLogin\saved games\id software\rage\base
for you config file and savegame folder

check windows security/controlled folder access. if on add exceptions for the game.

maybe try monitor=60hz and fps=60 for the 2011 32 bit game. maybe your $20,000 gaming machine is creating too much data too fast for the 13 year old game engine.

laptop? make sure game is using your dedicated graphics card.
