RAGE
Lost Car [and no radio]
During my last mission, I abandoned my car in the wasteland because it ran out of rockets and became useless in a fight (and don't get me started on those expensive NON-FUNCTIONAL drop-mines).

I make my way to Wellspring on foot, and I find I can't call the car in my garage. This game doesn't have a manual, no in-game tutorials to compensate for there not being a manual, and there's no big map I can access and set destination markers on.

How do I find that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ car? It's been, like, forever since I last played this game, so there's stuff I don't remember.

can you tow it back with the radio that you get?

Radio? What radio? There's no manual, and no mention of a radio in Options (Settings), so I have NO idea which key to use to operate any radio.

At any rate, I just deleted all the saves where the car was lost and started over from before I lost the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing, this time not buying any of those stupid drop-mines that don't work.

LOL @ Rockets

no offense dude, but didn't you even bother purchasing those Aftershockers from the mechanics? they practically send enemy vehicles flying to a fiery death.

Since there's no manual, it falls to the game to explain what the weapons are and their capabilities, as well as how to use them—and this game fails miserably in fulfilling that responsibility. The "descriptions" of the vendor more closely resemble vague promises rather than accurate descriptions. So, no—I did not spend all my money on aftershockers. They're expensive, and I have no idea what their range is, having no desire to buy a bunch and waste them like I did the utterly useless drop-mines—I leanred that lesson already.

People talk about a "radio" to call the car. I can't find a radio ANYWHERE in the controls mapping…again, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MANUAL to explain this crap.

the radio is in your inventory.

When you get your first car, the mechanic tells you to take the radio off his counter, and explains how to use it. I always felt this game had too much hand holding, but I've been playing a lot of the Stalker series with Russian mods.

you have to be within a short range to use the Aftershockers effectively, since they pretty much bypass shields on enemy vehicles for an insta-kill.

before re-installing this game, those were my "go to" items (besides the Vehicle Shields and the Auto Repair) for my car

Thanks, Torgue…by the way, I actually know a guy who looks like Torgue, minus the muscles—doesn't sound anything like him, though….

Mallicard & Retro: I see the radio in inventory, but I cannot assign it to a quick-slot, despite it saying it's useable, and neither do I remember the mechanic's instructions for its use.

It's not "R;" that's for Reload. "T" {Talk?) doesn't do anything. I've tried—wait. Well, Jesus H. living Christ on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crooked flaming crutch! Despite the lack of documentation, I just figured out how to use it—on foot in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Wasteland. OFC—why the Hell would you need it in a friendly settlement, right? Of course its use option is greyed out in friendly territory.
