Have you tried launching it in compatibility mode? Try some of these launch commands:

-fullscreen
for fullscreen
-windowed
for windowed
-w <width>
set width of resolution (ex. 1920)
-h <height>
set height of resolution (ex. 1080)

How can I do that? right clicking on the exe has no option to do so?

In steam, on your library tab, right click on rage, properties, set launch options

You don't actually need the compatibility mode, but a compatibility setting. For this, right click on the launcher EXE in your \steamapps\common\RAGE\Rage.EXE or Rage64.EXE, then properties or settings or whatever it is in English, then "Compatibility", then close to the bottom "Change high DPI-Settings", and check the two boxes for "program-DPI" and "Overwrite DPI scaling". Possible that only the 2nd box is actually required, but it don't hurt to check them both. This will solve your problem for this game and most other older games where you may experience such issues. Have fun!

You can use Windowed Borderless Gaming if you can only do windowed. Try that :)

I have the same problem in that change of resolution makes the screen smaller, but sadly your instructions still don't help.

Any other ideas from anybody ?

I had this sort of issue with another game recently - the problem there turned out to be because I had my "Scale and Layout" settings within Display menu set to something other than 100% - resetting that solved my problem. Worth a try to see if that fixes it?

Thanks bro, it fixed my problem when enabling 900p on my 1080p TV and the game was only in windowed mode. Now it worked full screen at 900p normally.
