Rage 2011 and Xbox One controller

I used to be able to play Rage with my Xbox One Controller , then I updated Nvidia Driver from Nvidia Experience.

When I tried to play Rage after the update, The game won't recognize the controller! I checked the gamepad configurations and it is "Enabled" but still not working. I disconnected it nd reconnected it AND still nothing.

I restarted my PC and try again and it is the same.

I Uninstalled the xbox driver and reinstalled it again. Then I run the game and still nothing.

I tried to use the xbox controller on other game s and I was able to use it... it is working on other games except Rage!

I Uninstalled Rage and reinstalled it again amd still not able to use it.

I updated Windows 10. Then I try to run the game with the xbox controller but still nothing works!

Please I am out of ideas... help!

Its simple. The game detects that a peasant wants to play an FPS game on the PC with an controller and reacts just logically by disabling this inferior crappy device.

Just tested it with updated drivers and controller and it works perfectlt well for me.

DarknessNina if everything else fails and Xbox One controller does not work natively, install X360CE and configure your controller through this program. I did it with my DualShock 2 and it worked perfectly so I assume Xbox One controller will work as well :)

Strange. I just downloaded the game and used my Xbox One controller via USB cable and it's working fine.

Similar query, only I'm using my wireless Switch Pro controller with the steam link in my living room - so don't give me S#@T about Master race kb+m. I use both. It works with some games but I'm dying to replay Rage on the big screen before 2 comes out. Anyone getting the xbone controllers to work, anything I should be doing ? As soon as I get into the menus it's not recognising the controller as per the "partially compatible" warning message

Ah. You have to go into the settings actually within Rage menu and ENABLE gamepad.

All good now!
