You can set any limit you want, but, as stated in the documentation, this does not mean that the game runs well with it. The engine does make all sorts of calculations based on the values you use, which is why very high values may lead to physics or animation issues.
I tested it with a limit of 144, which works very well aside from a few very minor animation problems. And unless you have a display with a very high refresh rate, higher values are not really beneficial anyway.
Though I don't have any issues with stuttering, Rage wouldn't even start with the id5tweaker.ini installed, after changing the value of image_useCompression "1" to "0" in the original game files, the game started and for the first time, I got 140 fps. So for everyone experiencing problems, check your rageConfig.cfg in the main game folder.
edit: oh and thank you very much for the mod Methanhydrat it's awesome to play above 60 fps :)
Unfortunately, you can not.
Set all four vt_pageImageSize* CVars to 16384, vt_uncompressedPhysicalImages to 0, and vt_maxPPF to 4
If you experience noticeable pop-in, double the vt_maxPPF value until the pop-in is no longer noticeable/bothersome
If you can't find a good balance between stability and pop-in or are experiencing severe stutter due to a lack of VRAM, set the page image sizes to 8192
If you are satisfied by the performance, have at least 6GB of VRAM and want to further push image quality, set vt_uncompressedPhysicalImages to 1
this is for better graphics or iam wrong?!?
If you are dissatisfied with the resolution of textures when you get close to them, there is unfortunately nothing that can be done to increase the quality.
it have one option make the quality of the pictures better vt_pageImageSize* CVars to 16384 :( the game have not much options for make graphics better it suck but i like the game so after i set 165fps i can start now play the game :)
It has been some time since I fiddled around with those games, but if I recall correctly the archived variables are stored in the general config files. But I don't know from the top of my head where exactly they are located and how you can reset them. I think there also is a command you can use from the ingame console to reset a variable back to its default value.
The syncing issues you mentioned are something that I wasn't able to fix, even after spending a significant amount of time on them. Unfortunately some parts of all games are hard-coded to 60 FPS and not affected by the general gametime mechanism that the mod uses. Even though the Wolfenstein games play fine for the most part, there are some sections where you can get stuck with FPS unlocked, due to collision or AI problems. This is why there is a binding for toggling the FPS unlock.
This is also true for RAGE, but in that game there are only a few minor animation issues (e.g. cloth or turning animations of turrets being faster than normal), which are barely noticeable.
When you say the archived variables are stored in the general config files which files do you mean? I saw some CFG files in Wolfenstein.The.New.Order\base but those were only for joysticks, xbox controller, etc. Are they an actual CFG file or a different format. There in the actual common\Wolfenstein.The.New.Order\base folder right?
I actually managed to fix that syncing issue, or at least was able to minimize it so it really wasn't noticable. I played from the moon base to the end without the sync issue. I really started noticing the sync issue at the moon base. It started driving me crazy so I opened up the console trying to find things I could change that might fix it. Only thing I noticed toward the end was on the last level when you fight your buddy, the timing seemed to slow. Not really slow but just barely noticable like when you run or jump. Other than that it was nice. Might of just been some of the archived cvars conflicting because I was still messing with things.
If you ever get back into it or play it again these were the cvars I added to your config I don't know if all these were ever actually on before I messed with them. I know 2 or 3 were.:
r_syncatendframe 1 ( This originally is set to 0 I think)
r_displayrefresh 200 ( This is originally set to 0 but the max is 200)
com_synctotime 0 ( This is normally set to 1)
com_usesampleclock 0 ( This is normally set to 1)
com_fixedtic 1 (This is normally set to 0)
EDIT:
Disregard the above cvars and values. After spending more time diagnosing the issue of why certain objects / textures are out of sync and seem to lag in game while using ID5 Tweaker, this is what I have found:
1. While using ID5 Tweaker with "Everything Off, except the fps unlocker" the game has very minor texture lag where certain objects are out of sync with the rest. Honestly it's barely noticeable. Once you start turning on the other things is when it starts to get worse. The main cause seems to be how the FPS Unlocker unlocks the game fps. The rest just seem to enhance it's effect. I haven't tried turning on things 1 by 1 yet to see which ones enhance it but I will and I'll edit this and post them here. There might be cvars that can be changed to counter this lag, I found some but they had negative side effects. Some levels played perfect, while others had issues.
2. Best place to test for texture lag is the moon base. After going inside baggage claim and getting your weapon, kill the 3 guards and enter the circular room. Kill all the guards then make your way to an entry point that leads to the lower circular level. Before going down the stairs you will see 2 signs, 1 on each side of the stairs. Stand in front of one of the signs and strafe / sidestep left and right as fast as you can going back and forth and watch for texture lag on and around the signs. With everything off except the fps unlocker there should be no lag. This is a good sign on how the rest of the game will play since I found the lunar base to have the most texture lag. This should also work for Old Blood, but I haven't tested it yet.
3. Below is a link to a folder with all the ( Stock Setting / Original Setting) commands, cvars, some cheats, and useful commands / cvars that can be modified either using the in-game console or ID5 Tweaker. The most important one I found was " Cvar_restart " this will restart all the cvars and set them to there default values. The best way to use this is to return to the main menu, open the console and type it in. Let it run and when you see Red lettering saying v-sync has been disabled because the game is running too fast it has finished reloading. Exit and re-launch the game, if you don't exit it will eventually crash.
The game acts weird sometimes when doing this, for the best approach I always alt-tab out of the game, remove the ID5 Tweaker config and .dll placing them on my desktop, go back in game and run " cvar_restart ", wait for the process to finish ( Wait for the RED Lettering mentioning V-Sync) then type exit. The game closes, I open up the saved game section and delete the wolfcfg file then relaunch the game and run the command one more time then exiting. After running the command a 2nd time I don't delete the config because it's usually not there, you have to start a level and play for a min or 2 before it recreates itself. I do this because it seems the modified cvars and archived cvars are still lingering somewhere and by doing it twice following that procedure completely sets the game back to the original state. After doing this twice you can put the ID5 Tweaker files back in the game folder or leave them out if you just want the game back to its original state.
This is the link to the commands, cvars, etc.

EDIT 2:
After messing with the ID5 Tweaker settings I found that turning on Multisampling either in ID5 Tweaker or the console was creating the majority of the texture lag. If you want AA use the Nvidia Control Panel it may also cause minor texture lag but nowhere near as bad as using the in game MSAA. Right now I'm using AA - Override application setting x8. The other options would be FXAA, MSAA and SSAA , both used and turned on in NVCP. SSAA at x8 looks great and plays pretty well.
Can you post a pic of your Nvidia Inspector settings of this game ? Thanks.
Sorry I haven't played the game in awhile and didn't save the Inspector profile. What game are you using it on? I can check and see if I left myself any notes for it. I usually leave fix's + notes for games if they require some fixing.
For Rage.
