Fixed: Win 10 Creators Update breaks G-Sync
Just updated to Win 10 Creators Version and G-Sync is not working anymore in Rage fullscreen. I have heavy tearing :/

Edit:
Deleted the driver with DDU. Installed the latest one.
In the Nvidia Control Panel, Activate G-Sync for both windowed and Fullscreen.
In the 3D Settings: Monitor Technology -> G-Sync.
Here the Important part: VSync has to be set to ON. It was set on G-Sync before the Windows update and probably that's what broke it.
Ingame VSync has to be set to OFF.

Shouldn't that be reported to Microsoft instead?

same here, also after i exit the game my gamma is all messed up, have to toggle nvidia gamma to get it back?
I am not on Nvidia, but was having similar issues. When I got home an update to the 1703 Creators update prompted me for a reboot. Rebooted sys, and OpenGL issues were sudo resolved. Rage, Wolfenstein TNO & TOB, and DOOM (OpenGL API) worked. DOOM ran fine in Vulkan, but that was about all. I am still getting pretty crappy frame rates, but at least the games are loading now.

Go to power options and then "power button" Option and unclick fast bootup and restart you machine. that will fix the g sync issue. If your windows is on an ssd it will still boot fast so dont worry about that.

It's already off :/
To fix: go to the .exe of any game > right click > properties > compatibility > check the box "Disable fullscreen optimizations".

The Creators Update buggered with how fullscreen works, a la these "optimizations". They completely break gsync and it's actually quite surprising it hasn't been officially resolved yet.

That's strange because I have a G-Sync monitor and G-Sync works as intended for me on the latest Windows 10 64-bit version even if I don't disable fullscreen optimizations for Rage. Thanks for info though, since I always had a hard time playing The Elder Scrolls Oblivion with g-sync. It just doesn't work in Oblivion. Maybe that will fix the problem.

It's already checked for me. Still got extreme bad tearing in the game.
Afaik, you have to disable vsync in the game for G-Sync to work. But after Microsoft broke it, I can't use it anymore.
HDR is also broken, but I heard, that Microsoft will fix it with a bigger windows update.
I'll try DDU and isntall the latest one.

Let us know if it works for you. :)

WOHOOO.. It works now.

Strange that there is not official manual from Nvidia how to set up G-Sync.

The led on the monitor was in both cases on red even when G-Sync didn't work proberly.
So, now to wait for MS to fix HDR.

Thanks a lot.

I can confirm this works like a charm. I had updated to the latest Creator update and it caused the GSync issue. All is perfect in the world again :)
