Thanks but what about American or English divisions in the future ? Can we play again with cromwell or M-18
PS. Very nice to see Finland get some much needed attention! Considering her historical performance and impact, she is very underrepresented in the WW2 video game industry.
What special feature does it have?
Well, captured & non-standard equipment is what makes divisions different one from another.
We could make thousands of standard infantry divisions with just 9x StuG, or 5. Panzer without Tigers.
As answered before: there is no plan to bring more Western troops in this eastern front focused instalment.
To be fair Finland's divisions probably didn't differ that much from each other, considering how infantry heavy the entire Army was at the time (as shown by there only being one Armored division) So having more than 1 Finnish infantry division probably wouldn't lead to much more variety in-game.
Although I am a bit surprised that the 122nd Infanterie is included in it's entirety. I know they sent a brigade of StuGs and air detachment Kuhlmey to assist but that's all they ever sent as far as I'm aware.
I do hope we get to see some love for indigenous Finnish aircraft for example. And aircraft in general, Finland fielded a pretty nice variety of stuff in 1944 that isn't in the game at this moment like the Brewster Buffalo or the Finnish-made VL Myrsky.
122. ID was sent too, and although it arrived a bit after Kuhlmey & the StuG brigade were engaged, they nonetheless entered the fight in the nick of time to relieve the pressure on the Finns.
Finnish Air Force ingame will feature the most diversified array of planes in any nation so far, I think, with planes from German, Soviet, French, American, British, Dutch and ... Finnish origins. ;)
