What is your current favourite division in SD2?
I made this post to help keep this game forum more alive and friendly.
Its better than repetitive posts like "game sucks devs fault" or "i got banned and did nothing wrong".

So what are your current favourite divisions in Steel Division 2?
Bonus points if you include a reason for why its your favourite or / and your strategy to win with it.

Example: (my favourite division currently)
7th Estonian (from burning baltics) is a really unique division.
It has a C attack rating because it seems like a defensive division. That's true but not the best way to play it. I built mine as V for Victory and play it like a really aggressive vanguard income deck.
Reason? Lots of fast medium tanks, lack of good anti tank weapons, very very good aircraft especially anti tank planes (IL-2 AT bomber).

My strategy is to just rush forward with a really aggressive opening with good recon and air support. Anything your tanks can't kill you just send in your planes with AT weapons. You also have a pretty strong YER 2 big bomber with huge payload... I call it the mini nuke bomber.
Your infantry are all good at CQC thanks to the upgraded soviet SMGs you get which i forgot the name of. Anything requiring LMGs (750m range) you bring in your cheap medium tanks to fight with infantry spotting for your tanks.
And that's it you are set to dominate in A phase with only way your opponent can stop you is spending ridiculous points on Anti Air guns. And if your opponent realises that you can push harder with tanks to kill their anti air guns or use artillery to supress and kill their anti air guns.

If all goes well your opponent will surrender by end of A phase in 1vs1. Or they will switch lane in 10vs10. LOL. But if they decided to continue or if you got unlucky and couldn't break through their lines its ok.
Start saving your planes for defensive use in B phase or for where you know there is no anti air. B phase you turtle down and defend while spending your points carefully (V for victory low income in B phase). C phase is also not a magical solution to your problems but you get some much needed fast t34s, andryusha rocket trucks and more infantry. Setup your artillery gun squads and prepare to grind your opponent down while holding onto flags. When you find a good target (like a expensive enemy AA gun nest) then launch your andryusha rockets at it then attack with planes. Now assault with tanks and infantry.

Summary for 7th Estonian:
A phase; YOLO rush the enemy with everything you got and use aircraft to bomb anything in your way (especially big tanks you can't kill).
B phase; Defend and hold on for dear life, use planes and points carefully.
C phase; Defend and gather your forces and artillery for a big push or just grind your opponent down (you should have a flag victory advantage from A phase).

Important or notable units you should include; Mustad disheartened infantry (big squad and decent loadout), pioneerid PPS (small squad but cheap and good smg and tnt very good unit), laksurid SVT for cheap line infantry and anti tank grenade. For tanks KV tanks in A phase, churchills in B and C phase bring T-34s for mass assaults. The rest is all standard and i dont want to make this post too long.
But bring almost all your aircraft in as they are all good, use your 3 point slots when deck building and bring all in A phase.

My aircraft: Boston recon one vet, LA5N fighters, SU2 recon anti tank rocket plane, IL-2 AT bomb one vet, IL-2 AT bomb one vet (yes two of them in A phase), YER-2 big bomber big payload version. Thats all. And use andryusha rockets against enemy anti air then send in all your planes at once, this way your planes will still be effective in C phase.

Ryhma. Suomis are magic, and Sissi post buff are pretty ridiculous.

They were one of my favourite divisions before the buff too. Now if I had an axis division version of 7th estonian it would probably be ryhma. Fun and challenging to play. The Jakaari infantry was also buffed with shock trait. Its a great division now.

Dunno, they felt sorta mid despite in game statistics . I played them earlier max vet used in a group on an autofill game and they're "okay". 17th divisionna with the sext. iskuryhma's are a better time.
Panzer Lehr (like a psyko)

It struggles over anything but green forest, but in green forest it's pretty strong.

Ratsuvaki pretty much are unbeatable at 150m now too due to the additional Suomi, so you can peak and bully line/CQC inf right before they touch your forest.

Infinite CQC, and using Sissi as true line infantry leaves you in a good spot. Price cut to LEFs makes arty less bad. Air tab is cheap and takes multiple AA guns to stop.

It's by no means the best division, but it's by far my favorite with just enough tools in every tab to try and struggle with.

17th is generally more reliable/stronger, but it's just not as fun.

Unironically for me it tends to be Divisions like Rösselsprung and Korück, I enjoy my cursed Divisions far too much. When I am not playing those, I tend to go for generally Infantry Focused Divisions, with probably the top boys I play the most being 352. Infanterie for the Axis and 6th AB for the Allies.

In general I prefer Infantry over Armoured warfare in SD, partly linked to how I don't like the way damage is done for Vehicles. I also like my light support weapons like Mortars and such.

I feel gruppe heartneck is very overlooked. The smg Jagers perform quite well in vetted groups, Hungarian triple MG groups will also shred in light forest such as lenina forest flank, and ofc you have great availability with the jager mp44 that come with 2 molotovs. Hetzers will almost always return on investment, and you have decent but not quite as good as rosselsprungs Stuka g-2’s, tank killing Messerschmitt at planes.

Post patch I haven’t had that great of a time with rosselsprung, the mp40’s while a bit accurate are still a bit underwhelming against stronger allied inf decks, especially against players who feint in and out of a CQC attack so your pioneer units can’t lob their grenade. The brandenburg sturmpioneers make up for that but suffer from low availability

I tend to find most people prefer to avoid the 'cobbled' units, probably due to bloated tabs since you have plenty of stuff, but they are all different so you have a row of 10 different units to pick from with mildly different equipment.

Harteneck is among those Divisions I do enjoy playing however, I tend to gravitate more towards Tatra which I find to be rather similar, and the big driver for that is the PaK 43 you have in it, and my beloved Panzer III and 38(t).
