Lots of good tips in the beginning of the video, Good guide overall, but be careful of expensive slots. If another card of infantry costs 4 points, it might be a better idea to get 2 cards of something else instead, all tabs are crucial to the battle. Also, it is good to have a way to deal with long ranged artillery, so either your own long range artillery or planes and mortars to suppress AA guns. Also, if you have time, test things out for yourself, see what works for you.
As a beginner, you are probably going to lose most games, but don't be discouraged, if you play long enough you will start winning more games than you are losing, and finally you are going to lose very rarely. Just don't go into ranked, always go quickplay as it doesn't count anywhere while you get the same chance for a game as ranked. You should also watch replays of multiplayer matches, you can learn a lot by seeing what the enemy had and where throughout the game.
Keep in mind, and I should have precise that, this guide is strictly for 1v1. So in that regard, IF the enemy has long range artillery, I personally never bother with trying to do anything about it, let the enemy waste his points on long range artillery all day long while I actually capture flags ;)

Yes I agree with Hobo, the heavy artillery in 1v1 is almost useless. As he said when you see a player begins the game with a arty fire, Come on ! One flank of his front is pretty empty. The only arty which are very useful in 1v1 is mortars. But there are exceptions, some divisions have cheap slots in arty tab (2° ID), that's why it s good to use it. An heavy arty can be profitable if you buy directly, but you have to use it very often, as the result this heavy arty have to destruct lof of things.
Dindomir and others guys pls, stop to say at a people who post on this forum, that he is a beginner. It s cool to advice him :) but Hobotango is in top 25 of SD2 ranking and was finalist in Div 5 against babaryann, an compatriot :) , he isn't a beginner for me.

I never said he was a beginner, I was talking to actual beginners who open this thread and watch the video. As for arty, I lost some games because I ignored the enemy artillery which killed key units at key moments.
I gotta admit I was confused at first too but I saw you were on discord so I figured you knew I wasnt a beginner and assumed you were talking directly to beginners, haha.

Anyway, I find that arty is more of a stressfull event that CAN make you lose a game but simply because of psychological warfare having an effect on your choices. Did you try to deal with their arty when you got artied ? If so, that could be one of the reason. Having your units on the move constantly is a must, true. You dont want your tanks/AA and other support units sitting in one place.

I find completely ignoring it, to be the best solution. Simply accept the fact youll be suppress in some sectors and dont let it get to you. Save your points so that each time the enemy spends 100pts on arty, you get 100 points in the bank. Eventually youll have 500 points advantage and youll be able to react to everything he throws at you.

You can also make the enemy waste his ammo by constantly moving your rear area units all the time. Anyway, to me its always a joy moment when I notice my opponent buys into arty in 1v1 :P ( not talking about mortars though, those are deadly)

I don't get it
why don't you put these videos together in the guide sections

I think only the most motivated new players will actually click the video and watch the whole thing.
Plus with time this thread not be on page one anymore.
Steam is a second thought, I wasnt even going to put it here originally.

Watch that Dindomir, I decided to post this game to highlight my point about how ignoring arty in 1v1 is just fine.

Question: do you never use commanders in 1v1 decks?
Oh yeah, but it depends wich deck. For exemple,

15th scots, never.
29th tank corps, officers only
Panzerverband , yes.

With Panzerverband, I not only have a commander, but I decided to go all in and I got so many officers to go with the commander that I can have all of my fronts ( East, Center, West) have a chain of command.
