I find it fun and frustrating to try out every deck I please to figure out what works and what doesnt. Yop can build many variations of decks based on economy alone. And from economy, different styles.
All you need as well is the base game. The more divs does not mean more fun, however, I fall into the 'I gotta have it trap too'.
