The Ctlr Key is your secret friend
Today i found ctlr shift rmb orders planes to hold position around a point 1000 hour of this and SD44 and i found it tonite thats a giggle

try the difference between moving a group with rmb and ctlr....

try Attack Ground for radio arty with or without ctlr, check the difference - corrected and uncorrected fire.

It does secret stuffs almost forgotten lore but like my circling fighters - there are little secrets everywhere

im wondering what else it does

should have grabbed a screenie

Maybe I'm missing something, but I really don't see any difference using CTRL.

Moving a group with RMB or RMB+CTRL makes no difference that I can see.

You could always have an aircraft circle a position on the map by simply RMB on the position. CTRL+RMB or CTRL+SHIFT RMB doesn't change anything. SHIFT was always available as a chain-order command.

The only difference I see when using radio artillery, is that if you CTRL+RMB for Attack Ground, it gives you the Hit%. If you just RMB Attack Ground, it doesn't give you the Hit%. But I don't see any corrected fire.

What am I missing?

They circled like that in formation for 5 minutes - went off to shoot down a recon then returned to circle at hat same point - shift i think just queues but ctrl key does something different.

Normally they would be all over the joint. I haven't seen planes behave like that before.

I knew you could switch from corrected fire to normal fire with arty shot but I don't understand what does it change for planes or others units.

Seem like a return to this point command, kind of anchor point- try it 6 planes launch them so they get going then maybe a way[point to form up then ctrl rmb somewhere safe-ish and they will circle in tight group forever or if enemy comes - maybe its new behaviour but my bet ctrl function.

I had spits and typhoons and they split into two formation just due to different stats - im testing so doing alot of observing less gaming

What tis he diff compare to not using ctrl and simply using waypoint then leaving them in some position ? I see no difference using ctrl or not. I made the test in two games with different units and it made no difference. My fighter always go back to their position

fly in tight circle like this in formation until contact or fuel low for 5 minutes from 1 click?

Maybe they changed plane behaviour but they were never that tight in my experience - and since using ctrl rmb modifies many things somehow and from testing this seems different behaviour, Maybe like a keep formation or something modifiier, Before they would scatter.

That makes a great holding pattern so you can spread out you ground attacks as well not just send in train
