new player
i've bought the game on sale and want to take advantage of the 2 weeks to train up and when i play for less than 2 hours i want to be able to hit the ground running.

my biggest concern as a new player is the intimidating PHASE A/B/C, and why units are selected as only one phase. None of the tutorials really focus on this and i worry people here are a little too elitist and really don't care about what a n00b actually thinks about and instead focus on "omg git gud" and blabbing on about tactics and strategy that a new player usually has a semi decent grasp on coming from other games of the same ilk.

Are you insulting people or asking for help or maybe both and if both not a good look.?

A/B/C is the moment when they come in battlefield. When you create you deck, activate only A,prepare platoons from A,then B and C. Are tutorials, you dont see YT images from menu? Click on them. Watch this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBGTidNuAzg&t=35s

see, here's the problem: every single video i've watched highlights a massive blindspot that these "hottakes" are totally ignoring.

for example, at the 4:10 minute mark of Nannun's linked video the guy completely glosses over wtf he just meant by "x at phase A, y at phase B, and z at phase C"...i'm now even more confused and frustrated with this game as a customer thinking a refund is probably where i'm headed.

as for appearing insulting, i'm just telling you as a customer the number of "hottakes" on youtubers just wasting a new customer's time is pretty impressive. It's great i'm learning all the super cool tricks (i especially like the attack-power ones) but i'm not looking forward to spending 2 hours ingame trying to figure out wtf A B and C mean in the context of "why choose C echelon over A and visa versa for certain things?"..because i'm going to refund at 1hr59min if that's the case, and sadly i think it's inevitable at this point.

I create a video abbaut how to create a battlegroup from a division, activation points, number of cards and when they come. On 10 min,i share a link on YT with that video, will be in low detail, because is in work on high detail.
Nannun Jan 21, 2023 @ 6:03am
A battle is split in 3 phases, A in begining,Bi n middle and C last phase of battle when you can bring last reinforcements,You can chose in battlegroup, who and when they come, without exp a card have more number units,a card of unit with more exp, reduce number of units. If they come in phase C,number of exp units is more high than in phase A when they are in low number.

SD2 is created to be realistic, with units from that div . Like example. In Hungarian invasion against Romania,in phase A,you can chose units who fighted in start of battle. You cannot chose Russians on A because they joined battle after 5 days,so.. You can chose in B,and C on higher number.

A skirmish is divided in phases which are A, B and C. Choosing to bring a unit in B for example, will mean, that you can deploy more of this unit, but said unit will not be available in A.

Er, have you watched the Tutorial Videos that are on the game's main screen (from VulcanHDGaming)? They explain the game from the point of view of someone who's never played the game before.

it's really not intimidating or confusing at all? like being confused about what "right click" means and why doesn't anyone explain what a "right click" is.

play the game for like 30 or 40 seconds and you'll get it easy

thanks alot.

02:00 - so i assume you can't deploy phase A troop card in B nor C? (i assume not, you'd have to duplicate is what i'm guessing)

followup: can i deploy phase A troops in phase B/C as long as i have leftovers?

05:00 - do i have to have all my A phase troops to the far left or can i mix the order between A/B/C in the slots?

no, wait, after watching the video i get the idea that the number in the slot ISN'T related to the value of the card but simply the cost of adding an extra card...so mixing the order of A/B/C is irrelevant (it's not like i'm modifying the cost of adding a particular card)

i don't want to waste time ingame when i can look up primers that will speed my understanding up considerably, THEN watch the ingame videos without risking me having to pause to WTF and google.

maybe if i was rich i wouldn't give a damn, but i'd like to devote most of my 2 hours playing a battle instead of using up my refund time before even trying out the gameplay

Create a battlegroup and play a little edithing, then make a battle with them in skirmish. I dont speack very good English. All units depend how whas in that period of ww2 when they fighted. As i explained,a tank who come as reinforce later in a battle, cant be selected in A,because they come in final phase of battle. You have in little number in B,nothing in A and a lot of them in C. You must use you brain and thing strategic and tactic.
