Breakthrough Divisions
So has anyone made or found a list of some of the good units to use when attacking or defending on this map mode? I really like it, but it doesn't look to be that popular for some reason. As to why, I wouldn't know as it plays more in to the historical aspect of what a battle would be rather than playing the who can get to mid first and wait out of the other guy regular map mode.

I also found that the rating system doesn't really tell you much. Basically all I got from it was you get more defensive structures with B and C than you would with A. But the only C unit on the Ruskies don't seem to have an answer for Tigers and up. I tried playing with my ranges a bit better to catch them closer in, but that doesn't seem to matter either because artillery comes flying in before you can do anything. You would think a concrete bunker or dug in bunker wouldn't just flop over as easily as they do to mortar rounds, but they do. Its laughable to be honest. I don't like the changes that were made from this point compared to a month ago or so when it released. Russians put up a good fight, now it just seems like once Tigers come out, the game is over.

Or maybe I'm doing it wrong? I'm watching new videos and stuff to try and see but still, it shouldn't make sense for artillery to destroy those bunkers as easily as they do either way. I can't be the only one that feels this way either. Lastly, when artillery fires, it should give away thier position. There is no reason why this shouldn't be in the game already. Ya shouldn't have to hope you see the trail as they're firing.

Anyway, this post is mostly about listing the good units for Breakthrough. The rest was just ranting. Do list your favorites! Right now I'm still toying with the 124th Guards on the Russian side. I played another the other day (9th Guards) and was really surprised just how bad they were at defending. They were a B rated unit and had 2 45mm gun positions and then a bunch of PTRD bunkers that turned out to just annoying tanks with ding noises (they were set up in pretty good ambush spots on edges of forests and towns like any normal person would think to put them.

Armoured divisions are better at attacking in breakthrough, whereas infantry divisions are better at defending, Mechanised divisions are a bit of both, but they're probably more suited to defence than attack. The rating system only seems to matter in head-on-head engagements.

Eh, there are a few tank divisions that could work well on defense for breakthru. They just need to be heavy, or higher tiered medium tanks. I did a few of them in the beta (as germany). Only think that tanks lack in terms of defense is lower infantry units and less defensive structures to choose from.
