What is your favourite map in the game?
Personally, as someone who only plays skirmish, I can only tolerate Tsel map.

Every other map in the game is too easy to defend, as you have several places where a green cover overlooks a wide open area. And I can just place a heavy 2000m range guns in those places, and watch as ai suicides wave after wave charging at them.

In Tsel there are no such places, I cannot win just by bringing biggest gun and heaviest armour, I have to fight for every meter of the map, I can flank, I can ambush and I have to scout every bush to not get ambushed myself.

Tsel is a best map in the game, change my mind.

I know you specifically mentioned that you're playing against AI, but any human player (and higher-difficulty AI settings) would say, "Say hello to artillery and airstrikes, lolz". ;)

Oh, AI does triy to artillery that place like you wouldn't believe.

Except, because it keeps suiciding hundreds of points against my defensive position, I end up having more points than AI to spend on my own artillery for counter battery. And since I am also better at counter battery than AI (I can predict where artillery will fire from, while ai fires at the last know position). Because of this I end up with artillery advantage.

And with both AI ground forces and artillery taken care of, the battle is decided within the first 10 minutes. It's only a matter of time until AI runs out of units and looses the attrition game at this point.

Only on Tsel do I have to fight for hours with no clear winner.

I don't like any of them anymore. They are all designed for 2000m range units and so whoever has the most 2000m range units wins the game.

Gora has the best cover and flow. You can use basically any division and any part of the map and be successful. The other maps are more division dependent
