Mod and personal setting file location?

I have some issues with my game (freeze) AFTER I subscribed on a mod called wreak and body stay on the battlefield. The problem is that the game freeze during start up of the game before I enter the main meny OR it freezes when I exit the game. The error is that the game just stops working and I need to close it from Task manager. I have NO mods activated and have removed all my subscrition to all mods but I still have mods in the Mod Center. I have also re-installed the game but I still have problems with the game.

I also see that my personal setting still remains even if I have reinstalled the game so there must be a location where these are stored. Hopefully deleting this will make me play this game again.

Just completely delete the folder for any mod in two locations. You might only have files in one location, but check to make sure nothing is in either:

C:\Users\XXXX\Saved Games\EugenSystems\SteelDivision2\mod\

Steam\steamapps\common\Steel Division 2\Mods\

You'll see folders named for each of your downloaded mods in these. Just delete the folder entirely and you'll be able to re-download things.

Both these locations are deleted but I'm still seeing the two mods in the Mod Center (the few times I'm able to enter the game)

They are likely being re-downloaded each time then. Try unsubscribing to the mods from inside steam here. Next go into your C:\Users\XXXXX\Saved Games\EugenSystems\SteelDivision2\mod\Config.ini file and make sure that there is no mod listed in the "activatedmods" line (maybe the only line inside the file).
