You can get it on sale for 20-30€ iirc quite often, so just be patient.
Also calling Farcry top level game design when it is basically copy pasting the same bs since Farcry 3 (which was real good sure but yeah) is pretty wild. Whilst AC sure changed the concept ones with the egyptian one but now its back to being a copycat also + all have the good old Ubisoft formula. SD2 is actually more original compared to those games when it comes to differences to its predecessor.
Only 18% of all customers who bought the game have 'won' ONE multiplayer match.
There's a reason why they are putting so much effort into the single player campaign and experience. And that's because most of the customers who buys the game seem to play against the AI and not multiplayer.
Have hope!
Sd44 is not dead. There is a group chat of sd44 players, where you easy can find game for 5-10 minutes. In addition sd44 is truly tactical rts, unlike the sd2, where gameplay is around calling right units on the battlefield.
Depending on where you look. German divisions and Western allies are well-researched indeed, while Soviet divisions are sometimes strange, not matching their historical equipment and/or composition.
All in the terms of balance, its no fun in esport to get overwhelmed by the red horde as it was in reality.
Instead of giving singleplayer and mp different settings and rules of playment, like a complete seperate and balanced based combat and division setup. They just prefer to shorten the russians in strength, add many not operative german war stuff, on top solved their shortage on supply and gave them back a competitive Luftwaffe.
Surely not the best game design choice if you wanna attract SPs and MPs. You dont have to be a genius to know that one or even both sides wont be satisfied
Perhaps, if the price tag isn't to your liking, you can wait for a sale or just move on? Is that a fanboy response too?
