Total Conflict Edition
Quick question; I bought the Total Conflict edition. Will I also be getting the "Back to war" units even if I didn't buy the previous game? I'd hate to buy the older game for nothing. Please include it in the Total Conflict edition. Would make giving a maximum contribution, that much sweeter.

Not related.

So, I'm going in this game, big time.
$80.
Eugen has a thing where they never do things right the first time. EE wasn't that good to me, but Air Land Battle was amazing and just completely blew me away content wise. Then they drop Red Dragon...wow.

So let's go in on this game boys. Eugen was good to us before, they will do it again.

I might end up buying the old one lol. Eugen gave some of the best support for ALB and RD.
I still remember the love and care they put into ALB and RD. They have earned my loyalty.

SD normandy isn't dead. it dosn't have the biggest player base of all time but you don't normally wait more than 5 mins for a game.

I play it fairly often, the single player is their best one yet. There is still a multiplayer community (these players are playing a mod in a recent tournament) https://youtu.be/_Hx35h9Q3PU , although most of them will switch to SD 2, but since you can play some of the old divisions if you own the first that doesn't matter. I expect that Eugen will also bring the rest when they get around to it, because that is how they roll. There are 1000 players online right now with 41 multiplayer games running @7pm US Pacific time (twice what Wargame Red Dragon has)

Still very shady to charge 80 freacking dollars for a non AAA title and then expect you to pay for the old one as well which will become obsolete once Steel Division 2 releases (not even one month from now).
All these different versions to preorder are just confusing as hell and could have been made much more simple to understand.

It is unfortunate for you that they do not own the rights to the Wargame series, I fear that you are doomed in your desire for a 4th one.

the game is $40 and they are already starting to bring the SD 1 divisions over for owners of the old game. Why you wanna be unhappy?

Excuse me but I have over 1k hours in Steel Division. I think it served its purpose. But this thread is about the Total Conflict Edition ( it is even named after it) and I think I can voice my opinion for charging that kind of money and still not having access to everything the game offers. That is just shady in my opinion.
Please don't mistake me with people who never played Steel Division and are salty that there is no new Wargame.

obviously you're done with it, and I did peak at your profile so what I see is Wargame, the game is $40, the additional 40 covers future planned paid dlc, and I say paid because I know they will include free stuff with it. If you want to haunt someone have a go at Matrix games, the current owners of the Close Combat series, $40 for what is basically a 20 year old game, those devs should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't get what's confusing about the different versions.

With the Commander Deluxe Edition edition you get SD2 and some skins and the aces plus some wallpapers and other e stuff.

General Deluxe Edition you get the season pass

Total Conflict Edition you get both.

I don't get why anybody would find that confusing.

The base game is 40 euros and that's perfectly find for a good quality game. If you know your going to play a lot the season pass will say you a bit of cash when the dlc releases, 70 euros is ok for a game i'll spend 500 - 1000h on.

The steam store is lacking in clarity, only the commanders deluxe edition has a description and that is titled as a pack not an edition like it is in the cart.
