Bailed out vehicles...
Can we steal em... and why not. we can steal ammo trucks so would make sense to park ammo truck next to bailed out tiger to joink it,

I would be interested in that idea. Possibly a debuff in stats, given a crew might not be completely proficient in an enemies tank?

Also, how aggressive would the
AI enemy be in trying to capture tanks?

Well armies did use captured vehicles and tanks, but they had to be taken back, repaired and refitted first. It would be unrealisticfor that to happen in a single batlle Now in SD 2 with supply trucks even adding crews to tanks oI guess it could be.

No. Expecting line grunts to jump in an enemy tank and use it is about as reasonable as handing a tank to a group of untrained draftees and expecting them to operate it.

I actually don't like that ammo trucks can be stolen. That ammo truck should have nothing or next to nothing that is compatible to any of your weapon systems. Captured weapon systems were used, and we can see many in game, but they were frequently rechambered for a different ammunition type or used with a compatible size munition already in your inventory with an altered feed.

Ammo trucks run around repairing and recrewing your tanks so... ehhh. and i dont really care bout the tank in that battle i just want it added into roster for the next one. (single player ;/)

It's one of the gamey mechanics.

It would be such a rare event that I think it would be cool to add in.
Not that the comparison is 100% valid, but in CoH2 you can capture an enemy's de-crewed tank and it is super rewarding if you can pull it off without the enemy blowing it up or killing your guys.

Might be fun here too.

Yeah I agree, but I would also like for an ability to tow your own tanks with either other tanks or heavy transports?
Could make for some fun save operations.

It shouldnt happen in battlefield, only after. Do you think they have tank crews running around with infantry looking for opportunity to grab vehicles really?? All good had to go through small training period too to get confortable with enemy tanks too.
Totally different than unloading ammo cases or fuel from trucks.

Maybe in the Army General campaign? Tank is captured and added to the roster a couple turns later?

Yes that but not during battle

Lets be fair though, it's not like you could just fix transmission destroyed on a tiger in the middle of a battlefield either within 20 seconds.
It's a game, which has plenty of unrealistic elements already. Capturing enemy tanks could be a neat addition.

There are plenty of us that only tolerate those unrealistic elements and do no wish to see more. They walk a tight rope between split interests of the community every time they tinker.

there is a way I might accept it though. since we now have the Bergpanther we have our first rescue and recovery vehicle....we just need to make it as such by putting it in the support tab and adding more types of rescue vehicles. Remove the ability of the support truck to repair or recrew anything. The rescue and recovery vehicles must tow a disabled vehicle off map, once complete the rescue vehicle just comes back for free and the vehicle gets repaired on a time like aircraft and can be deployed for free if yours or for points if captured.

The texture of the tank would also have to change and vehicle markings changed from enemy to friendly. Engaging the enemy while wearing incorrect uniforms or markings, including vehicle markings, is a war crime and violators can be summarily executed upon capture.
