losing supply lines in army general from enemy movement (bug?)
So i like that you can cut off or get cut off from supply. But small tiny movements by enemies are cutting me off from supply. Keep in mind the enemies are not actually moving across the supply line and cutting me off. They might be near the supply line and just move a little bit parallel and it ends up closing the gap.

seems like the supply line system is a bit buggy. As it closes for nonsensical reasons sometimes.

Not a 'bug'. Logistics wins wars, so I go after my opponents MSR's . Main Supply Routes are fragile and usually in games amateurs forget about them. So all you got to do is 'squeeze the routes a little and the areas of control of the pieces used close, 'cut' you off. Pretty simple actually, Soviets have more than enough in reinforcements, good job for the lighter 'scout' units. Germans as well.

Practice the zones of control, and how to use them, it is not just the pin point area the piece occupies, but a small zone of control.

right i get it but what im saying is that sometimes the supply lines close for no real reason. all it will take is a enemy unit moving anywhere near and it will close up

That's how it works, close is good enough sometimes, again practice to see what your units call a zone of control.

thats not at all how supply lines are blocked
IRDCAM 8. juli 2019 kl. 10:54
OK how do you do it? I just place small 'reserve' units manuervering behind the 'bad guys' and squeeze the rail and road network. The zone of control line moves, cuts off the units between them and my front line and wala, their zone disappears, the map changes color to mine, and the unit is cut off. Playing nose on nose attrition like you probably do makes it that much easier for me.

you have to cut the supply line. Not "squeeze" it

cut it off.

As long as my units zone of control is over 'the supply line' is closes, do not have to have a unit sitting on it. Conceptual issues I see.

Main Map zone of control
Battle map just place units near MSR, and let the MG's kill the trucks.

im talking about army general

That's what I play, Army General, and use my 'weaker' units as flankers, cutting off the supplies to the pockets my maneuvering elements create. Tons of reinforcements, hold the nose, move around them and spank them in the butt. AI is pretty dumb at times. Look at the size of the area of control of the individual units, far larger than the unit displayed on the map, and they will creep to touch if you have nothing with a zone of control in the way.
