airborne troops

hi all, is there going to be any future dlc or updates on the use of airborne troops?

Not in this game. Light infantry would be tantamount to useless with the large amount of open ground.

But for the British 6th Airborne, which has its own tanks (even light Tetrarchs) and access to a large number of 6-pdr & 17-pdr, the other airborne divisions would be unable to handle any SD2 divisions with their feeble 37mm or 42mm AT guns and no tanks.

IMO, that's the only airborne division which could be ported as a C "infantry" division.
The others would stand no chance.

VDV operations always were failures over the course of the war. And they were very lightly equipped.

I think the addition of specialized division is pretty cool, such as the Ski Jager. Do you think we might be able to see Soviet/German airborne divisions in the future ?

As explained above, airborne divisions wouldn't the most fitting ones for SD2.

It still be cool if you implanted airborne infantryman into this. It be awesome seeing paratroopers jumping in behind enemy lines to try and secure a point . That could make for some awesome turn around. Plus light infantry may not have heavy vehicles , but they specialize in quick rapid assaults.

Wait a bit longer and we will all have airborne divisions to play with. Maybe not in this particular game, but somewhere somehow. This is the 21st century.
