Alaloth - Champions of The Four Kingdoms

Stuck at Alaloth, anything I can do?
So I found myself in a bit of a predicament. I'm playing a warrior class character and have complete about 60% of the FA's, In the last few hours of my playthrough I noticed I'm completing 4-skull FAs with ease, so I figured my character would be up for the final fight.

When I got to Alaloth, I noticed the side bosses did significantly more damage, but still manageable, but Alaloth himself just hits like an absolute truck with multi-hit knockdown attacks that can't be avoided once they connect. The difficulty spike is pretty steep. The game didn't really prepare well for this. Also, I don't think it was clear you'd be facing him solo.

Essentially, now I'm stuck in the final fight with a character that may not be powerful enough to finish this fight. Any way to roll this back?

Alaloth is hard, but if you bring 4 greater healing potions, you should be fine, it's just really an uphill battle.

The thing about facing him solo, I agree, they could explain that a bit more, or make it so somewhat like Tears of The Kingdom, where the NPCs help you with half the fight, and you have to clutch the end.

If you're clearing the harder FAs with ease, you can certainly beat Alaloth, just try to learn the timings on the dodges, his moves are somewhat easy to dodge, but if you get hit, yeah, you lose bout 600HP in my case, when I faced him with a Human Fighter using light armor.
Got it, so just got to go Dark Souls on this guy and try ad infinitum.
The one attack that is particularly difficult to dodge is his off-screen leap. The timing is maddeningly awkward.

I'll give it another shot tonight.

Yeah the disappear jump strike is a bit rough, but it's learnable, you have a lil time to dodge,

But yeah, go souls on his ass, try to play defensively a while to learn his moves, before going in for a killing blow yeah, since it's a 1v1 fight, it's easy to keep your attention on the big guy, and good luck with it B)

You get a ton of warnings before entering the maelstrom, it's pretty clear that you have to prepare yourself. BTW, as others already said, it's pretty doable going DS-way. Do liutenants first!
So I beat Alaloth after 2 additional tries. Other than the new game modes, is there another reason to keep playing the same character? Are new gear or dungeons available after beating the game?

If you play different race/alignment you can get different sets of events/quests. Once you have done with Alaloth, you can try Competitive as well (and Legacy)

Hope you enjoyed!
Got it. I had a great time with the game. Took a bit of time to get the hang of combat (I only found my first companion when i was already half-way through the game).

New run, different race & alignment, new stuff to do! ;]

Consider to drop a review here on Steam if you enjoyed, it really helps us.

Cheers!

Very nice, just needed a bit of practice and Satan is just a bigger meaner enemy.
