Co-op Companions
Game rules, i really enjoy the core conceit and the mechanics at play but it desperately needs a way to have coop from the start with a customizable, second character for the person thats joining. It's all well and good that the first player is the protagonist but needing to wait to find a companion to coop with a friend + the lack of customization hurts and just adds unnecessary friction.

i second to this. Second player should be able to join from the beginning. i think companion structure limiting this. Second player should be able to select/create it's unique character with a selection of spell/s once he joined.

It creates an unnecessary friction, the blueprint is here for an excellent and different game. People obviously want to play this coop badly.

It really, really needs a streamlined co-op experience and they need to allow the second player to have the same level of progression as the first player and the ability to equip gear.

Everyone understands if the second player has no bearing on the story and can't effect the world outside of walking around and combat.

It is something under discussions since a while but it's a huge work to do but it's something we really would like to enhance at some point. Easy as it is: if we'll be able to find extra resources, it is something that i really would like to work on. To get resources, as a small indie team, we rely on sales and performance of Alaloth and our games.

If you want to support, please consider to drop a review here if you are enyjoing the game. I can proudly say we don't overpromise and so far, we've delivered everything we shared with the community [and much much more]

Thank for the feedback :)
companion skills
Anyone knows how to use companion skills ?
I have Lileah in my party, but she never uses her skills, even when almost dying to enemies.

Weird. It depends on orders you give ti the party but still, she's supposed to heal hard. Playing Forgemasters or Arcane Arts branch?
I'm testing summoning build where each skill is a summon.
Also I'm on beta branch arcane arts.
She started to use her skill when she is almost dying, but still it seems random.
It would be better if we had a shortcut to trigger each companion skill instead of relying on their behaviour ai.

Any video? That's probably a bug occuring with the rework, she works fine in Forgemasters

I was wondering if buying this game or not, now I know I have to. Even just the possibility to play this with a friend gives me thrills. Also, I'll drop a review as soon as I get enough hours into the game. Good luck to the team.

Co-Op
Did they ever change the multiplayer from the weirdness it was set to in EA??

I'm so curious about it as well. I've yet so see a decent YouTube coop video of this game.

I wouldn't buy this game to play solo, so I really want to know exactly how it works

Oh, man... So this is how co-op works?

I honestly don't understand how we went from normal co-op, to dark souls style co-op, to having to find companions to play with a real friend.

I mean, what happened to simple co-op like Halo, Baldurs Gate, Contra, Gears of War, Diablo, etc?

Features = budget. That's how it works

It works hiring a companion and play FA with the companion. Up to 3
