I appreciate you bringing us this topic to attention! As a prophet constantly seeking enlightenment on the part from Idaris the Beacon, I searched the Holy Scripts and this is what I found:
I searched the Holy Scripts and gathered some knowledge for you: Alaloth is a single-player RPG with a local co-op. Your co-op partner can join you as your in-game companion.
his was what I said: a humble servant of Idaris, the Beacon.
And although I spent the whole day meditating to get the answer for you is it possible for a mortal to really understand the twisted divine plans?
works online koop in this game?
because this game looks for me realy good, i like this typ of games but for me is important that i can play with other players, not only with friends... i hope this game take any art of multiplayer lobby.
No online features mate. Local coop & multiplayer
Can I play the whole game in co-op?
Will my co-op partner level up and acquire skills?
As we already said, Alaloth is a single-player RPG with a local co-op. Your co-op partner can join you as your in-game companion :)
But how the companions work?
Do they level up? Can we customize them when the second player is controlling them?
Can we have a companion right from the start of the game?
I feel your pain, it’s almost like this developer is afraid to give accurate details as if they are ashamed of their own game.
What I really want to hear from this dev is that no your friends can’t join you over the internet. Local Coop. Or, yes they can join you over the internet. This is the answer I’m looking for, not some shadiness or them being very vague in their reponses.
Exactly my thoughts =/ and I've been following this game for a long time now.
But from what they've said, online co-op won't be featured at launch, so you can only play co-op in the same console/PC, unless you use that steam feature that I think is called steam remote, I guess
What is not super clear in "Single Player + Local Coop & Multiplayer"? :D
Steam Remote Play is something allowed by Steam itself and has nothing to do with the "original" dev plan :)
