Quantum storage vs ressource zones
Why should i use ressource zones?
i love them and i want to use them! but those much better quantum storages are preventing me from that...

how about making those storages much more expensive or adding an energy cost to it?
that way we could have low tech freighters and high tech (power and ressource intensive, but smaller) freighters.

edit: just left an recommended review. this game is already much fun and has great potential.

Thank you very much! Generally, it's a matter of a personal preference. I try to give players as much options as I can, not forcing you into a certain playstyle. There is no single "correct" way to play. Some players use routes, some build the whole logistic scheme using teleportation relays and trade hubs, some mix everything. Experiment, see what is good for you, have fun, share you ideas for the future of the game! I'm open to all ideas.

It's problematic to make something expensive when you have such a big flow of resources. I'll think about about adding energy consumption to quantum storage. It could lead to some gameplay issues -- need to work out it in detail.

I also like the idea of having quantum storage with power consumption.

hello guys!

is it still just a player choice without any benefits?

Not sure if it worked like this last time you played but "Quantum Storage" now count as machines. The more machines you use the higher energy consumption is overall.

On higher difficulties enemies also trigger when you have built a certain amount of machines. So it is actually beneficial to use resource zones. You can use direct docking with them to unload stuff which dosnt use any energy

This is all true, though I'd note that you can also use direct docking with quantum storage. (Although not with the pre-built transporter blueprints that use quantum storage, because unlike the basic resource zone transporter they don't have tubes set up for that.)
