Please increase Enegery Generation.
Can the Devs please increase the Energy Generation? It takes ages to Produce Energy and im constantly out of Enegery. Almost cant do anything because everything uses way too much Energy.. way more than i can Generate, thus i cant Produce fast enough stuff to sell it and to Generate Money to Buy Energy. Soo.. at this Point i cant Buy it and i am Generating it too slow even with 2 Facilities that Produce Energy Full time and are completly upgraded in the Tech Tree.

Four ways to generate more energy:
1) Buiild more power stations. Simple, but requires a free sector.
2) Invest upgrade points into power generator technology.
3) Invest upgrade points into the specific energy generation tech (energy from fuel/coal/hydrogen/uranium rods).
4) Scale your existing power station: build more generators!

Have you build an energy carrier and set it to autologig energy carrier? Have you some EC left? (Up in the middle)

The nergy carrier will refill itself at the cost of EC and refill your stations in notime. If you have choosen the 0 EC start - well this is a really, really tough one.

Energy generation used to be 10x as strong as it is now; but if you're struggling to get power, I've got a few suggestions:

Use Uranium Rods if you can. It's a good method to get a lot of power quickly.
Sell lots of products. If you're full of ores, Green will have you covered. Otherwise, try selling to Earth.
Also, 2 generators is not enough. It's enough to sustain a small factory; you're going to need to go bigger.

Do Energy Carriers pull energy from power stations or they only buy from Earth?

they do pull energy from power stations as long as the station has above a certain threshhold and its energy plan is set to "share with ships"

Yeah, i have multiple Energy Carriers set to Autopilot, and i dont have any EC left. My Energy Carriers used every Pennie i had to buy Energy because my Power Plant Stations dont Produce enough.

Im already selling everything i can.
And one of my Power Generation Stations is an uranium Station and the other one uses regular fuel. :/

Uh... that doesn't match? If your factories are that big anyways, you should already be getting way more power than you're using. If you would please join the discord, I can help better there.

Are you sure your power stations are big enough? How many generators are in there?

I think your savegame file would be interesting. You can share it on the named server and we have a look at it. Maybe we can give some tips to you, we ar eall very friendly :-)

If you are bottlenecked on energy production, scale up instead of scaling out. I.e. instead of building additional power stations, improve the design of your existing power station so that they can fit more generators. The built-in power station blueprints are terrible as they only have 8 generators. As an example, my own custom power station blueprint has 87 generators running on hydrogen and gives me more energy than I know what to do with.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Yeah, did exactly that.
I used the Pre built Stations, and was wondering why they are so weak. Now i am using my own Design with a huge amount of Generators and it seems to work out. Thanks for the advice.

Is it possible to forbid trading with Earth? I lost 1.5 Mill without even noticing
TaosX  [developer] Sep 21, 2020 @ 9:25pm
Hey! These are you ships buying energy. If you forbid them to do that, you ships and stations will stall powerless. Nothing will work. You can see the log of transactions in the top center panel ('?' button).
TaosX  [developer] Sep 21, 2020 @ 9:27pm
You can build a power plant, upgrade power generator and a specific tech (energy from fuel / coal / hydrogen / uranium rods) to reduce the credits spent for energy refill.

Power systems are a bit intense in the game, no doubt, but we're meant to scale our builds. Of course, I'm one of those psychopaths using the max station size possible. Currently, I'm using 2 nuclear power plants with 171 power generators in EACH, and while that does indeed produce all the energy I'll need UNLESS I am currently engaged in a bit of wargames, it's not quite yet satisfying, so I am also in the process of filling a hydrogen relay station (A station literally filled to capacity with tanks that buy hydrogen at the top and sell at the bottom) and new processing plant (probably with 75+ hydrogen refineries) intended to feed 2 new hydrogen power plants that have 450 generators in each and enough batteries to store something like 15 million energy.

The plants are done, but I didn't realize my hydrogen refinery was so slow, taking the last 7 hours to fill the relay maybe 40%.
