I remember Commander Keen from DOS days...
Anyone else remember that?

My first Commander Keen came on blue 1.44" floppy disks. Compuserve, the company that sold us our $2,700 Cdn IBM 486sx computer gave it amongst other games to us for free. Really fun back then. The other games they gave us, along with what was included with the PC were: Hugo's House of Horrors, King's Quest VI on CD and others.

Definitely looking forward to replaying something from my teen years. ^_^

My 1st PC was a 286 without a math coprocessor, 640k memory, 20 MB HD and I upgraded to the new VGA Card which was just release at the time and upgraded to the 3 1/2 floppy drive for the 720k disks. We learned that you could drill a hole opposite of the 1 in it and would double the storage to a Whopping 1.44 mb! LOL I bought Liesure Suite Larry with the system!
Yeah those were the days for sure,... A friend use to come to my house and we'd play Ultima 6 which was soooo awesome! :-)

i remember playing commander keen next to cosmo's cosmic adventure, major styker and zone 66, those were the days back in the mid 90's when i was just a boy not more than a few years out of being a toddler, if at that and i remember it clearly. in a caravan with a computer and monitor on a desk with a chair, playing this game. it fascinated me. of course episode 4 and 5 were the games i played, i didn't know of 1, 2 and 3 until much later.

an old 300mhz intel pentium 2, 2MB of ram, 2MB Graphics card with DOS, 50MB HDD and a typical 2.5" floppy drive.

I remember it very well. When everyone else had a nice fancy 486 PC, I was still playing Keen on a 286. Some fantastic times during a fantastic age of gaming.

I miss those shareware days.

I had a 286 with EGA monitor (16 colors). Could play Keen but couldn't play Prehistorik 2 (it needed VGA - 256 colors).

When I bought my 286, VGA had just come out and I upgraded the card and the monitor!
Like Archie & Edith Bunker, "Those were the Days".....
