Really really enjoying the game! (Early game suggestion / observations )
TL;DR Game good, and very hard.
Ink: Brown - CC. Mud, Rocks.
Generator suggestions: Auto aim missile / lock on beam
Spender suggestion: Auto turret
Movement suggestion: High cool down, self freeze that self heals / shields / varnish. Maybe a flight one?

I picked this game up just a little while ago, and am adoring the game. The aesthetics are on point, the art style is awesome. I feel super nerdy gushing over the fountain pen / writing / artistic references. Just overall, visually, the game is amazing!

Gameplay wise it has been a ton of fun. I love rogue lites, and rogue likes with meta progression, so when I saw this I got super excited. It's difficult, but fair since most things are telegraphed to you to help you avoid them.

I immediately gravitated towards Green ink. I love summoner classes, and as much as I don't like the color green, I will survive because of how cute this dumb ink demon is. (AND I GET 2 SOME TIMES??)

I am just a liiiittle sad that It seems I need to make my entire kit work together instead of picking things I find fun. Right now Green ink + Manifest + Passage seem to be a struggle to use- since both Manifest and Passage require me to hold down the button, and they interrupt each other. Unless I get that one Passage page that speeds up time inside of it, and then It turns into a mini-gun. I haven't gotten lucky to have that, and the one that increases Generator speed when near my green ink friend. I can only imagine...

Take my suggestions with a grain of salt, since again I have not played the game as much as others, and I have been struggling with the game because of how hard it is (Or maybe it gets a lot easier when I start investing into the scriptorium instead of buying all the generators/spenders/movement tools.)

I, personally, struggle to enjoy many of the generators, and am usually just hoping to get the Backup Fire page (Font fires seeking bolts), so that my poor aim doesn't matter. Which made me think ..Why can't I shoot seeking bolts? Between the font doing that, and the one little enemy that does the Wild Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man wave and shoots out many homing missiles, I feel like I'm missing out on the not-having-to-aim party that the enemies all have.
In the same vein of not having to aim, A high damage, stacking damage, or even varnish-generating beam that locks onto a nearby enemy would be cool too. A bit of a survivability generator or something?

Maybe those ideas are a little too catered to more casual players? Maybe the devs for this are aiming for a more high-skill experience which I completely understand! I just find a lot of shooter games neglect people who struggle to aim. Thankfully rogue likes, like this and Risk of Rain, and so on tend to have items and perks that you can get to kill things for you, so a lack of aim with your base character tends to not matter as much.

I actually don't have anything really to add to any of the Spenders. You have a high-homing ability with Swoop, A few AOEs, a few long range and piercings ones. The suggestion of a spender is genuinely just from the fact that I love the game and would kill to see what the artists could do with the idea of a turret. Maybe an Ink well with a feather quill floating over it, shooting ink at enemies. Maybe it could be more like a large AOE homing missile dispenser that is a stack of pages flying into the air. I dunno- but something that's a bit more set and forget, but quicker than Passage would be fun!

Movement wise, once again, no complaints about the ones currently available. Just ideas for more!
A way for you to grow invulnerable and heal, or gain tankiness. Kind of like a League of Legends hourglass. Or a Mei Freeze, from overwatch. Something that helps you put a pause on combat for yourself- maybe transfer aggro to your green ink demon, or your friends.
And the idea of a short flight to escape up and away from combat. Flutter step doesn't let you get height- except teleporting up cliffs which is a ton of fun. The idea of being able to get a bit of height, and a view of the battlefield, letting you rain ink from above

Finally a little idea for Ink- Brown. Based on earth and mud. The main mechanic being causing enemies to slow to a crawl, before solidifying into a mud rock until damaged or a bit of time passes. Basically a way to create a bit of control on the field. Maybe it's signature spell being a rock wall that propels you upwards, and knocks back enemies. Or gives you a floating platform to shoot from for a few moments. It could be used to isolate you from enemies, or maybe force you and an elite into a few moments of a duel without the harassment of it's minions.

But! As I said, take this with a grain of salt. I adore this game, and want to see it go much, much farther. Also give us a support pack or somethin'! Let us give you more money!

Well I went from being unable to beat a 9 binding, To this run. Might not be the most impressive run you've ever seen, but I had SO MUCH FUN with Orange Ink and even got the 12,000 damage with one scour, and 1m damage in one run. I DID get super lucky with the darkness wall giving me like.. 15 pages too.
Thank you for a really fun update! I was worried that I was going to struggle with the game for a very long time. But you threw in a really really fun play style and I'm right at home with it!
