Please nerf blood/red ink.
I have 10 hours in the game, i have tried all the class types, but once i discovered blood i never went back. Its just so much bettter than the others since it can heal you and does great aoe dmg.(Even when you are not near enemies because of tethers)

Just use Quip to aoe aply the tethers, use the aoe passage spender and use some tether related powers todo dmg with tethers, spamm Q and win. Even on bosses when there are no adds i dont find any issues.

In fact i can just turn of my brain, spam left click, spam right click. spam q. No need to aim. Keep jumping and dashing to proc powers. Wont die because of healing. Nothing can 1 shot you except for maybe 1 boss where you hide in shields.

I have completed all books with all unlocks, im on like attunement 16, but have done like 20+ bindings maps a bunch.

Its just that using Blood feels like cheating, and that ruined the game for me. I wish i had the motiviation to Really try out the other class types more, to figure out how to get a great crit build or whatever. But i see no reason to when blood is so much better.

I wish there wish there were maybe like.. Challenges with forced class? Seperate game mode with set modifiers where you need to get a 15k crit or something?

Besides that
- Insane loading speeds :O
- Great Aesthethic
- insane amount of buffs / powers (Really original ones too)
- Great co-op game

- Levels are okay, perhaps some interactivity in levels would be cool? (pull lever to lower bridge idunno)
- Mobs all kinda look the same, small mob, big mob. While white is part of the ink aesthic perhaps having maybe Monster glowing outlines or something would be cool?
Are there flying mobs? I might be forgetting them.
Maybe add mobs that take extra dmg from specific type of colored ink

I do like the one where you need to hunt a specific elite, since i think they go purple or something?

I'm pretty early game and tried red there and it felt like a super slow slugfest to me while blue kills anything rather quickly no matter how tanky it is. I think it might be wonky upgrade and progression balance that leads to inks being super weak or strong based on where you are in the game.

We're definitely keeping tabs on the various ink cores and where they're over/under performing. We realize Red is able to be taken online to a crazy build a bit too consistently (we are totally fine having busted builds where you are immortal, as long as they don't happen every run) and also have some things we'd like to do to bring some more survivability options to the other colors.

Please keep the feedback coming though, we read through it all and our analytics can't catch all the nuances. Getting things like recaps of runs where you felt like you should have died but didn't are extremely useful, as they help point at underlying issues of game feel that are harder to detect with just data :D - if you're interested, consider joining the Discord[discord.com], we're always looking at feedback and chatting on design ideas!
LOL great minds think alike, i also been using red ink with quip and passage. Mainly because that continued sustain from leeching tethers and the mana gain from quip with a few other page choices lets you spam huge aoe passages.

And the signature is basically a massive burst dps that saves you from death.

Imo the next ink they bring out should be about barrier sustain and mob debuffing, that way you get a strong tank/support without being heavy dps, ideally for co-op.
Red ink has a high tanky sustain, and where any idea of a threatening torn even with all kinds of buffs, you know you have high health and can heal through it even with marginal dps. And because tether affects anything that receives any damage from you, it can stack to a degree that outheals any damage you take, allowing you to cast off generators without worrying about your survival and allowing you to spam more spenders. That's why red's too strong.

Im half way through the books and im thinking ill test green next. Different books offer different styles of play and progression, red ink strives on the Mercenary Band book, because you can heal up 1k in 2 chapters and then have that huge 100hp max, which some pages increase stats based on max hp. Also since you dont have a barrier you can have a few other pages bonuses, but i also noticed you can overheal and gain barrier anyway.

IDK Pushing for much higher difficulties with modifiers is still a challenge with Red. I love where it's at.

Even if they have good healing, convincing me its more OP than yellow seems kinda crazy, once you start creating temp crystals you can generate infinite shielding with blossom anyways. You start getting upwards of 1k+ shields all the time with the zombie modifier. Throw in the 1 max HP or .5 invulnerability every time you shield breaks you are also unkillable. Not having access to shields is a massive downside which balances red.

I agree, as fun as Blood is... It's too OP. I did an endless run and made it to i think appendix 8 or 9 something.. I think i ended the run with 17+million damage. I couldn't come close to that with any of the other blood types..

Edit: Also, you can get an item in blood where your overhealing applies shields which also can reach insane levels with the extra healling from leech as well.

i do think red ink is very strong but i dont think it needs to be nerffed as its a pve game but other inks should honestly be buffed instead

Reading this thread feels like my friend and I are playing on a different version. He also likes blood ink and had upwards of 1k shield as well but he kept getting oneshot in appendix 3. I honestly dont know how you reached apendix 8 or 9
