Is this like old-school Warcraft 3 TDs?

I saw something about sending monster troops. Is this like the old Warcraft 3 multiplayer games(Wintermaul Wars, Crop Circles TD, that etc. etc.) then?

It's similar to the Stronghold map for Warcraft 3 and seems like Line Tower Wars or so (haven't played the latter, just got that feedback from someone last week who heard about our multiplayer and knew this custom map. I think it was that one.

Basically there are two teams. Both teams build towers like in singelplayer, but can have up to four players on the map. They have to defeat monsters to save the team's lives. Additionally you have to send monsters to the opponent team.
