Definitive Edition or really Enhanced Edition ?!?
Yeah don't mean to sound ungrateful but I'm a bit confused, does the Definitive Edition come with all DLC or not ? Being most publishers that tag their game as a or the Definitive Edition normally means the game comes with All DLCs and Expansion packs as well as Art Books and Soundtracks hence the name Definitive. This will bring the game to its fullest complete version. This normally happens at the end of the games selling life span and when the game is no longer being supported or updated and to make it easier on those that haven't bought it yet.

From what I see in this, its more a Enhanced Version of the game, do to all the enhancements and new stuff added. So calling this a Definitive Edition is kind of misleading if all I listed above is not included to make it a true Definitive Edition version.

I know to some this is more less sounds like potato to potatoe but this is something that could mislead some and used by other publishes if not clearly defined .

Thanks for the Info if I'm wrong and thanks for clearing this up for those that reply.

Definitive edition means there's new DlC and this is more or a complete rewrite script wise with lots of major fleshing out of the plot, characters etc and all of the previous "weird English" gone. I found myself continuing to play thru again well past the new content because so much has been changed for the better that it sort of feels fresh again.

Also since we have a lot more pts because of the new content, we can have a lot more skill options vs before making the story feel a lot newer and fresher vs the original run thru

Unfortunately since I know what you're getting at, what you really think it should be is a definitive complete edition :(

I tried to play the original version and I couldn't due to all of the weird English and plot points popping up all over the place all willy nilly which my character insists came up before but really didn't.

I have now tried to play the definitive version and I couldn't due to all of the weird English and plot points popping up all over the place all willy nilly which my character insists came up before but really didn't.

You must be missing entire dialogues from npcs. I have none of this WILLY NILLY you refer too. If you make your choices to soon in the clues screens you may end up rather confused, you just need to EXPLORE all the dialogue options with all npcs in the area.

@OP - maybe the term you could use is the complete anthology as that would be the end product or last big additions/patches to game.

@fathamburger and mikeydsc, Games that added new UIs ,quests, visuals and items and what not are normally called Enhanced versions. Being the game has been upgraded and stuff added. As in these games Seven: Enhanced Edition , Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition just to name a few, but you still have paid DLC that must be purchased to have the full version.

When a game is called Definitive Edition its normally the full game and all the DLC's and Expansion Packs or Addons and this can also be visual enhancements or upgrades as well.

Here is a few games in example that are Definitive games as in Mafia: Definitive Edition, Mafia III: Definitive Edition, Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Outward Definitive Edition, Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition to name a few. All these games at one time had DLCs and Xpacks to buy but once the game reached its maximum selling life and update life, Devs and Publishers normally will enhance the game and add all content for said game to make it a Definitive Edition as this version is the end all version of said game.So no more Updates or Content will be added form these versions but game fixes and even those might not be added unless the game is 100% broke.

Another game terminology besides Definitive Edition can also be Game of the Year Edition, But sometimes Devs will still have some DLC's for sale with this edition.
