Successor To Populous and Black and White?

Is this shaping up to be a spiritual successor to Populous and B&W?

Will there be a world where followers fear or love you?

Can you spend time developing crops/buildings/society?

It's not like black and white. they have a pretty long stream they posted of the gameplay. it's more like a turn based auto battler, between battle you build stuff or train your warriors. (from what I understand most of the building stuff in some way benefits your skill list or training of your warriors). your warriors have a set of "skills" in battle they will "roll" one of their skills to use. 3v3 battles, if you win your "god" basically gets renown and influence, which you can then expand your little town to make your warriors better. It's more or less a turn based battle game where you don't directly choose the attacks you want to use, but can influence the likelihood a skill is used in a fight, and can customize what skills the warrior has.

Yeah, from what I have seen it´s really a stretch to compare those two great games to this. The god part doesn´t even seem that important. Thought experiment: Replace the whole village with a dojo, the commandments with fighting styles, the followers with pupils of your dojo, the miracles with teachings or training sessions and so on and the game would lose literally nothing, which means the God/religion part is not essential like it was in B&W

Well I read "more like turnbased" and got sad :(
I cool and modern successor to Populous would be very much appreciated.
So in the end this also will went on a pile of shame named godlike games :(

POPULOUS - give us something like this great old school POPULOUS - please!

just go play Populous if that is the game you actually want.
