..Please, Streumon. EYE is one of the few games that does it for me anymore.
Firstly, I'd love to see another EYE type game from Streum, there's nothing else quite like the world they built with EYE and it was fun and interesting to play. That won't be a sequel to it, but it's good to see that they're working on something that could be good for them as a studio. Who knows, maybe it'll be an awesome game too.
Secondly, I'm a big 40k fan, and I think it's pretty cool that GW are licensing out the franchise to developers again since Relic's (and THQ's) demise. I wouldn't want the whole future of 40k computer games to rest on what Sega might decide to put out since they hold some of the rights to Relic's work and franchises now, I thought. That GW picked a small studio like Streum On is interesting, I think it could turn out quite well.
We have been playing wh40K since the 2nd edition so we do not want to betray nor the license nor one game that only the eldest of you may know Space Hulk: Vengeance of Blood Angels which is for me a cult game.
Well, that's my opinion and I could be right or wrong, completely or partially.
P.S. I played Deus Ex HR but it is hell of a boring stuff. I don't understand why is it praised so much.
Its very possible this will turn out to be another boring corridor shooter. Have you played the Space Hulk PC games from the 90s though? If they follow that style, then it has the potential to be awesome. In those games you had a squad, and you could switch direct control to any of the members. You also had a way of ordering them around RTS style. The game was very tactical. If you play the game like a shooter, you will fail. Its not remotly possible to be good enough to solo a mission.
I loved the Space Hulk PC games. I got all excited about the new one, untill I saw it was a straight up port of the board game. There isn't anything wrong with that, but the older games were something special. Now that this newest Space Hulk game has been announced, im really tensed up about it. I really hope its like the 90's games, but Im pretty distrubed by a line from the announcement. "Players take on the role of a Space Marine from one of the most secret and most feared Space Marine Companies" sugests that it is in fact going to be just another horror themed FPS. I still have some hope though. It IS Space Hulk after all. It just wouldn't make sense for it to not be about a squad.
You can find a really not exhaustive list on our website at the bottom of the following page, if you are interested to know a bit more about them: http://eye.streumon-studio.com/index.php?page=game_details&moreinfos=1#moreinfos
