E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

If I wanted to play multiplayer with a friend online
Are there servers? Will I have to start my own server? If I have to start my own will my computer run both the game and server for two players? My computer is not impressive but has an Intel core i7-2600 CPU@3.4GHz, 8GB RAM and not sure if it matters but my card is an AMD Radeon HD 6670.

the best way i found to play co-op was to use hamachi and start a lan game

Hmmm, thank you, I will look in to this.

The dedicated server doesn’t require a lot of resources. You would be able to run your own dedicated server and join it with your config.
Of course you can also use Hamachi.

Having a bit of trouble using hamachi. I set up a LAN game but my friend cannot connect. Anyone got a solution or a bit of insight on this?

I have my provider help me with the port forwarding (they gave me a public ip address and things) then follow the instructions on the EYE website for setting up a server. The second part (which i thought would be the hard part) is easy, it involves opening the command prompt to get four different numbers then entering the numbers into another place in Windows.
I should mention that after a week I was having trouble downloading youtube and staying connected to Steam (was getted dc'd every two minutes) so I removed the four numbers from where I entered them and had my provider help me set everything else back to normal.
I plan on setting up another server soon (cant stay away from EYE multiplayer too long!). If you still cant figure this out maybe you could friend me and both of you can play on my server?

Don't use ancient technology like Lagmachi, there are better solutions for playing in a virtual LAN.Have a look at Tunngle for example, there are Room's for a gazillion of games and even GUIDES on how to play dem Games via Tunngle on their Wiki.

It won't get better than that, switch over and enjoy.

Having to read that someone has to call their ISP for IP&Port related things is somewhat surprising

yeah use tunngle and your pc will get a crippling virus from it causing you to run diagnostics for 5 days to get rid of it!

this game is just moody like that, sometime it will play ball and let your friends connect through hamachi othertimes you have to go through hell only to get it to lag on the first level =/

I +1 to hamachi, it works every time for Source games, seeing as it forces the connection between you and your friend, and does not require port forwarding to join.

Can you find the server and not join? if yes, idk what to do to help, if you cant find the server at all here's the solution Go into favorites, select "Add server" and type in the ipv4 address from hamachi into the ip bar hit ok/accept, if it doesn't show up immediately click refresh.
