Turning off fatal wounds
I like to play it on hardcore, but I hate getting fatal wounds, because someone one-hit killed me so I ask if there's a way to turn this silly option off using cfg files or something.

There is no way, but eventually with research you can reverse fatal wounds.

and it takes SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LONG but you get like 5-6 tiers and at max tier you are imune to the effects of fatal wounds. Cheating works too

I like to think that having Fatal Wounds and the ability to later nullify them just punctuates the transition from being just another cybermonk to a true Grey Master.

Fatal wounds are actually super good though. You can use them to drop your stats back to the point where they cost 1 point, level up a few times, then do the research to become basically god.

How did it get patched out? Does it translate the extra points as the levelup points, then apply levelup points to upgrade stats instead of stat points directly?

No, i am pretty sure the point cost is just compensated for, as in it doesnt matter what your stats are at because of fatal wounds the cost goes up at the same rate it would if you never recieved any. When you restore stats you get your benefits to your character without any conflicts due to point cost.

Well there is no way to turn em off, other than lowering the difficulty. As said above, also research the cure and protection from those.

Also, they are not patched... If you get fatals, your stats go down... You level up to a point you need(till it costs,like,5 or more lvlup points per stat point), then research the cure... And you get those stats back on top of your current, highly leveled ones. That way i got 120 accuracy and to get it to 121 it says i need to spend 100 lvlup points... xD That's only coz i got fatal wounds for -acc, leveled it pretty high with the decreased number and then cured the injuries...

I wasnt saying fatal wounds were patched, the exploit was being discussed.

Hmm, I believe you are mistaken because just recently before I cured all fatal wounds on a character of mine getting fatal wounds drove the required point value down from 2 or 3 to only 1. It should be fairly trivial to test if you have access to the farm alpha map.

It's been awhile since ive had fatal wounds so I did the testing and you were right about the cost going down. I am still not finished with bioregen as it takes a little while.

I searched for where I saw that it was patched and the only thing i could turn up was a bug fix related to fatal wounds where if you got your stats at or below zero it would end up at 120.

Alright so i was right in the sense that you cant use fatal wound to skip over too expensive points cost, becuse with regen 1 and 2 you get no points back so fatal wounds arent reversed at those levels atleast, ill do 3-5 but this takes long as ♥♥♥♥.

Somehow, the only fatal wounds I ever get are the ones regen 4 (or 5, pretty sure its 4 tho) cure. Each level of regen indicates which fatal wound it cures, though.
