E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

Still grinding... How did you find the last research items?
Basically, I know it all comes down to either using Sermons or just grinding. What I have been doing is either killing lots of Feds at one of the spawn points of Bad Dreams or just sitting at my corner on New Eden. Maybe it's just the RNG, but it seems that Feds are dropping significantly more research cases than Looters. I ran across Zhaar's Eye quite a while back and finally found a Structural Integrity Field a little later. Then Antique Mechanism and I don't know how many more Structural Integrity Fields after that. I think the RNG is mocking me a bit. Still missing the last three research items in the second row. Level 76 and going...

How did you find the last ones? Anybody without the help of Sermons? ;-)

Persistence and luck. Sermons helps, but isn't a guarantee either.

That's good to know. I suppose I'll continue to do the occasional New Eden-session and hope for the best. Not like I need any more money, but hey, I suppose I can all pour it into the rest of the Cyber Techs once I have my Divine Rampart title.

What you need is 10000 dead jians

Combining Feds and Looters I think I have pretty much 10000. Just fighting Feds and Snipers seems to be the most efficient and least annoying for research/money/experience.

Jians absolutely do drop more research than feds. Bad Dreams map.

Discussing particulate methods of Jian mass murder is the purpose of steam forums in general, I feel.
If picking up research cases is not the goal, spiculum ovum makes spawn camping dangerously comfy.

I like Purge for that. Taking down two interceptors outside and then just headshotting everyone with the heavy sniper while sneaking around. I just don't think it's really all that efficient in terms of research cases and fighting Jians on maps with respawning makes things pretty risky. Just mowing down one row of Feds after another consistently and frequently drops cases, though of course not the ones I want.

Though I have just found a second Zhaar's Eye :D

One down, two to go. Xeno Stropozome has just dropped. Pretty sure I have never found Mininuclear Warhead on any of my characters. Neither Lost Technology I think.

I found every tech on at least one character; it's definitely doable. But there's no guarantee that any one player will find them all in a lifetime, so stop playing when it stops being fun.

No worries, my sessions are usually only 30-60 minutes nowadays. Some grinding on New Eden and a few plays of the side missions usually. Sometimes I even refuse to actually put in any effort and just send forth some murderous clones with Bearkillers and let them do their work while I go off in some other direction. For some reason that seems to work especially well on Arcturus. In a lot of other cases they get stuck in place pretty easily.

I guess what I'm trying to say is really just that EYE has more than enough ways to keep things fresh and the basic FPS-gameplay just feels very satisfying, even after 150 hours.

You could use a custom map named "Sermons". It's pretty well-made and helps you farm.

This map is perfect. Stand at the top of the balconies where there are research farm sheds. They spit out a ton of cases in a few seconds but you'll still need to stand there for ten minutes or more to get everything.
