The existence of these different perspectives gives some insight into the Force as a collective daemonic deity formed out of a conflict of opinions between powerful individuals. Sort of a Natural Law interpretation of society: whatever people believe, there's a specific end product that the system generates from their conflicts. One potentially out of line with what any of them want, which in turn heightens the conflict.
Guilt-guy could be Shinji, or they could just be something like Clippy. Some explanatory entity that comes along with whatever is happening, which takes the form of some sort of a wise Master.
