Streumon still has the gang together if you look at the credits for Hired Gun.
so...you re telling me that it right to hack the game because none of the originally devs are still around? or i didn´t get it?
fear, but with one first?
good point
What he said didn't really answer your question.
Personally I can recommend both games. however, both Stalker and E.Y.E aren't for everybody. You may like one and not the other, or you may dislike both.
If don't mind grinding and repeating the campaign then you shouldn't have any issues. Gunplay and RPG elements are satisfying and in depth, the only thing really holding the game back is the source engine, but that's kinda part of its charm.
Stalker is obviously focused more on survival and managing resources, looking for caches or artifacts, and the gunplay isn't as great but you can let it slide because everything else surrounding it is pretty entertaining.
Look at videos, I think E.Y.E has a demo available if you want to try it out, and determine which is more interesting to you.
thank, i atually played the demo no long ago and it was...something. i liked how it looked the maps and estetic. Also i liked how it controls. when in the first mission i enthed up turning a street into a warzone, that was great. But i think i would buy stalker. Eye have some big problem. i shooted to a door and surenly monster spawned in my back. Maybe people make this game look more good that it actually is, dont take me wrong the game great but people talk about like the game is just hard understand, something like eve online, but no. it more how to break a game made breaked. maybe i´ll buy it in another time
The story is what makes it complicated. It goes into the philosophy of 'the cave' and all sorts of other spiritual and metaphysical stuff. It's deep from a philosophical point of view, and it's so unique it stands out from many other game stories, but it certainly won't make you reflect on life...Just confused.
Outside of that, it's a Source game... From 2011, before all the fancy stuff was added to Source. It's got jank, but the gunplay and cheesy balance of the game is what makes it interesting. Nobody really gets into E.Y.E, you either boot it up and love it or you hate it and never revisit.
As stated previously there really is no comparison between E.Y.E and S.T.A.L.K.E.R outside of their abbreviated titles and European jank.
Gosh I remember that I at some point actually became proficient at the gunplay in stalker. Went back to it once after a while and forgot how that went and so the memories felt utterly surreal and wrong, like implanted fake experiences. Strangely similar to the combat in gothic 3, jank wise.
The ridiculously dumb inaccuracy of some of the weapons is what gets me sometimes. Weapon balance is all over the place and it's just something you have to cope with.
And that's the miracle somehow: One can cope with it!
