I uninstalled the game lol, I can try I guess I have fiber internet... BRB
yep it was an update a whiiiile ago, but remembered it, at the time I thought my hardware was at fault, and by that time, I decided to try to replay it. the first versions of eye were so much better, with research abuse and the much higher ammo capacity, the last patches ruined it imo

From what I can tell, the stutter is caused by keyboard inputs polling at a fixed rate.
Use launch option
I use 165 because I target 160 fps. Use whatever is appropriate for your target framerate. You'll want some wiggle room as the input rate will fall out of sync with drawn frames anyway. So set 125 if you target 120, etc.
I found this solution while fixing the same issue in Insurgency. It appears to work with no issues. I have no idea if it breaks anything.
Same :( And the worst thing about it is that it hasn't always been like that, earlier versions of the game didn't have this problem at all, I remember it being introduced with a patch, I think it was the one with the real ending or the one just prior.
But there's not only that, the game was just plain better in a gameplay and game design perspective as well, after one of the patches light and medium builds got nerfed way too much and now if you want to carry good weapons and a lot of ammo you're forced to play the slow paced heavy build. The difficulty rebalance was also super weird and made the game too easy and too hard at the same time and generally just more frustrating and grindy to play :(
See all those recent reviews on the internet and youtube criticizing the game for being way too grindy? Well, it hasn't always been like that, at least not to this point.
I had the chance to experience this game when it was still good and I'm glad I did, I'm sorry for the people who will never get that chance.
Even with all the bugs and the absence of the true ending, EYE 1.0 was the best version of the game.
