Rocket Jump is inconsistent
How do I do the rocket jump reliably? I only get to max height 1 in 10 times.

Anyway, once I figured this out, the Rocket Jump became a lot easier and more useful. =)

As far as maximizing height... from what I recall, I think I got my best results from doing the following:

1) Press and hold "Jump" (keep holding the "Jump" button until after step 3)
2) Wait until you've reached maximum jump height, and have JUST started to fall... then fire a Rocket straight down.
3) Make sure to keep holding "Jump" to get as much of a boost as possible from the rocket explosion!

FYI, you can also get an upward boost by firing a rocket into a wall directly in front of you... which can be useful when you're too far from the ground to do a normal Rocket Jump. And again, if you hold "Jump" the entire time, you'll get a bigger boost from the explosion. =)

Hope that helps!
