Cant play multiplayer since the last update.
You need open "Ubisoft Connect" with you have installed along with Anno.
Go to "Friends and groups" and hit "add friend" just next to search bar.
Find your friend by his Ubisoft nickname and add him to friend list.
Now when you open Anno Multiplayer lobby, instead of inviting friend by game (steam), minimalize game and go to Ubisoft Connect. RMB on your friend there and invite him there.
DONE :)
Thanks, that worked in a sense of invitation, but now I'm stuck with LR05 error :)
I've taken note of your reports, and I'm sorry to hear that multiplayer Issues in Anno 1800 are impacting your experience !
For the purpose of our investigation, in order to isolate the Issue, I invite you to provide us with the following information :
- Does the problem persist after checking the steps of our troubleshooting guide dedicated to error {LINK REMOVED}LR40 ?
It contains steps that will also help for other connectivity errors.
- Are you playing on PC, or through a cloud platform ?
- If on PC, were there mods active when the errors happened ?
- Were there any apps such as VPNs or Proxies active ?
Don't hesitate to let us know if you'd like to share additional details, or if you have questions !
- Ubisoft Support
Thank you for coming directly to the thread. Please find my answers below:
- LR40 troubleshooting steps didn't help and mostly not relevant to Steam, as games are aligned in versions automatically (I don't really know people who blocks updates)
- I'm trying to connect with my wife, so it's both PCs, one is running Windows 11 the other is a Fedora Linux machine
- No mods (I assume 3rd party), but all DLCs are installed
- No VPN or Proxy in use, however we're on the same network and based on some reddit posts, it's the way game handles NAT, that might be the problem for people on a same network.
No problem, thank you for the details !
For the next part of our investigation, I invite you to provide us with the following :
- Does the problem persist when one of you is connected to a different network (mobile phone hotspot, if your provider / contract allows for it) ?
- Is the problem still happening when trying to connect between 2 Windows machines (dual boot for example, not necessarily a new PC) ?
