Registration twice at Ubisoft?

I bought the game with all DLCs over the years directly at Ubisoft. Now I consider to buy it at Steam. Might there be a problem with a double registration at Ubisoft? Thanks for help

There is no need to do that as you will be using the ubisoft launcher to play the game even on steam and you get no benefit for getting it on steam also really.

Should be fine, I did the same with AC Valhalla and it just creates a second copy in Uplay, one from Ubisoft and one from Steam.

I've taken note of your question regarding owning Anno 1800 on both Ubisoft Connect and Steam.

As Chompman and Xeth mentioned, this should not create any Issues, as it will add a second copy of the game in your Ubisoft Connect library.

Why buy the game again?

I love Anno but all the features are available on Ubisoft that's on steam, nothing new etc.

If they continue making dlc for the game I'll buy it, but buy something I already own from a large developer that the people making the game are not the ones making the decisions on whether to support it or make a new title etc.

If it where an indie team I can see the purpose, but Ubisoft isn't a 3 person team, they are a huge corporation and the bottom line is what the CEO cares about.

Anno won't compete with rainbow six, or AC games that's why we get more content for those than Anno.
But the fact they still support Anno with yearly dlc packs is nice, that's why I buy them to hope the next year they will okay another season pass😁

Further to MrM's post - to save rebuying the game, you can always add your Ubisoft copy to your Steam library via the 'Add Non-Steam Game' function to save yourself some money!
