Cannot complete Chapter 3 The Contract

I've uninstalled, and/or verified the files of the game on steam, and I've been going back to a save state before I got the main quest mission, and everytime I send a ship to an expidition for that quest, it eats up my ship, and doesn't continue the expedition

"eats up your ship"? odd. while you loose access to the ship while its on a expedition you should be able to click on the expedition itself in your menus on the left of the screen and it will tell you "days at sea" every so often you should get a event to do with it. clear without moral dropping to 0 and you will reach the new world.

Its like I would send it on the expedition, watch it, wait for it, and then it would just send me back to the "Send ship on expedition screen" with the ship I have sent on there, and its you cannot interact with it, so the only option is, to send another ship on the expedition and it'll do the same thing over again

any chance it's leaving by going past the pirate island and you're hostile to them?

I'm with peace at both pirate parties, so I wouldn't get attacked, and I follow the ship til it leaves the map

I don't have any mods on my game, or the save file, its as vanilla as possible.

I only just put items on my boat to increase my motive health

Update: I was able to complete the contract, I messed around with other expeditions, and found out that I can only have the ships within that world grab the items from those islands.

If I have a ship go to another world to grab items, thats when it would dissapear, I would even follow it out, until it never appears on the overworld map.
