I've taken note of your questions regarding purchasing Anno 1800 on Steam in addition to the Ubisoft Connect version.
The thread has been moved to the Community Support section, to bring you the best possible support.
Content purchased from different digital store may not be compatible with each other, and for more information on that topic I invite you to check our dedicated {LINK REMOVED}article.
If you'd like to launch Anno 1800 from Steam, you can also do so by adding the game as a "non-Steam game", using the dedicated option in the Steam library.
Feel free to reach out if you have other questions, or if there's anything else we can help you with !

Does this mean in this instance it isn't or is?
I also have Anno 1800 on Ubisoft Connect along with Seasons 1 and 2. I would be interested in buying it simply to get the steam achievements.
The reason why we've said may not is because there are rare instances where it can all function correctly but in almost all cases in the scenario where your base game is on one platform and DLC's are purchased on another you will run into issues somewhere down the line. If you would like to launch the game with DLC's from Steam and have access to Steam achievements we would recommend purchasing them all through Steam in this case. You can as mentioned above add any game that launches through UC on Steam as a non-steam game but this will not give you access to Steam achievements.
Hope that clears things up a bit.
Cheers!

I decided to give it a try and just bought it with all the dlc, and for me it worked flawlessly, for me it just created a new "instance" of anno 1800 in my ubisoft connect with all the dlc while the instance i had before(not through steam) is still there right alongside the new one
I wish you a great adventure in the world of Anno 1800! If you have any further queries, please let us know!
