Thank you for your post and I'm sorry to hear that you cannot locate expeditions in Anno 1800.
It's possible you haven't met another requirement in order to access expeditions.
Each expedition has specific skill requirements, such as navigation, diplomacy, and naval power.
There are a number of online guides on how to do it. Please check them out.
Thank you very much, but in all the guides, the only thing they say is that expeditions start once you upgrade the buildings to the third level to give you access to the artisans. When you upgrade a building, a ship’s helm and a sailor should appear in the top left menu, notifying you that you have an expedition. That’s what isn’t showing up for me, and I’ve installed the game several times. It’s a shame because it’s a really good game.
