You can make a cheack-up of the files directly on the U-play or /and by Steam , I think, cos my game was not on Steam..

I suspect this was probably due to multiple issues we had with ubisoft services, particularly as you mentioned it was crashing as you saved and exited it might have been having trouble syncing with our servers. If you continue to experience persistent crashes though please let us know.

Hi support - thank you for replying. Yes, continue to have issues, not so many crashes but still occasional. Today I have "Unable to Start the Game. This product cannot be activated now please try again later." Have completed all the suggestions in the technical support on Ubisoft with no effect. Raised a support ticket today. Fingers crossed I get assistance soon.
