So for those that get an instant desync on a new game try the following. Start the game and when it desyncs and gives you an option to go to title do that. Then everyone restart the game. Then load the autosave it made when it desynced and reinvite everyone into the game.
Those who get a desync loading a save. Load the save but don't invite your friends into the game just start it alone. Let the game run for a second or two then make a new save. Go to main menu and load that save and invite your friends.
These two workarounds seem to work for me and my brother so far and if I run into a desync that these two can't work around I will post more.
Lo and behold, changing it back fixed the LR40 desync issue.
I can't think of a good reason for this data to be part of the savegame, but fingers crossed, it helps some of you :D
See we never did that and still are having issues. Also I'm not saying you're wrong but many of the fixes or workarounds we thought worked were only coincidences.
I've taken note of your reports, and I'm sorry to hear that desync Issues impacted your experience !
