Game transfer?
I have the game like many others on Uplay. Is there a way to connect/transfer the game to Steam? Except add foreign game of course.

As we've had a few threads on this, I've merged them all here.

If you own Anno 1800 via Ubisoft Connect or the Epic Games Store - you will not be able to activate your copy on Steam.

The copy you own was purchased via the Ubisoft / Epic Store and thus it is bound to that platform. Any keys you're able to retrieve, as they are not Steam license keys, will not allow you activate any content within Steam.

If you wish to own the game via Steam, you would need to repurchase it via the Steam Store.

Steam / Ubisoft / Epic Games are all different platforms with different storefonts / libraries, therefore it isn't possible to add games from one launcher to the other unless you purchase them.

Ubisoft Support also cannot grant Steam versions for the reasoning above.

As a workaround, to launch the game via your Steam library - you can added it as a 'Non-Steam Game'.

I have other Ubisoft games that are linked that are linked to my Steam account. I can only presume that Anno 1800 will follow suite

thats not really a good analogy and previously this could have been done, but due to greed it can't be done anymore.

Exactly! Or even more clearly: do you get a burger for free at Mc Donalds in city A if you have already bought one at Mc Donalds in city B? Actually, that's clear, isn't it? :)

I also prefer to play via Steam and have therefore bought Anno here again. But I hope that you can use the game saves. But should go, has so far worked with the other Ubisoft games.

Well this wouldn't be a problem with DVD. since everything is digital now, they milk us, which is not fair. It's not a burger, bro.
