Can't launch the game
Verified the local files, uninstalled and reinstall the game. But still can't play the game.

Hey everyone,

I appreciate each of you letting us know about these crashing issues. Back when this thread was created, we had a persistent crashing issue following a major patch. That issue has now been resolved, so I'm confident any further crashing reports are not the same issue, and we can solve them with some local troubleshooting.

In any instance of a crash, I'd always recommend starting with our troubleshooting guide[ubi.li]. The steps we've listed in this guide have been shown to fix the vast majority of crashing issues with our games. In particular from the guide, please make sure you are running the game with administrator rights, you've verified the game files, you've got your graphics drivers and Windows install fully updated, and you've (at least temporarily, for testing) deactivated all background programs.

If that doesn't work, I recommend going on to the system files support article[ubi.li]. The two files it describes can be used by our support specialists to check some system details, and check for any errors Windows itself has logged, which often allows us to give more specific and targeted troubleshooting recommendations. We can't do that here on the forum, though, so once you've got those two files prepared, please reach out to our support specialists directly at the link below.

If there are questions about this process, or for further information about our recommended steps, I strongly recommend creating a new thread, and fully describing your crash (when it happens, if there are any error messages, and which troubleshooting steps you've already tried). This makes sure we're in a better position to give relevant troubleshooting advice specific to your issue.

i'm still waiting for their fix. i'm glad it isn't just me just sad i couldn't play this past weekend.

Just bought the game for the first time, no mods.

If I try to run this as a admin,(baught it yesterday in steam) i get linked to ubisoft and they want me to name a activation code which i never had.... any clues?

Game won't start
I spent all of yesterday downloading the game. Only to find that it won;t even start.
I tried verifying files twice and it still won't work.
I have also updated my ubisoft login.
What's wrong now?

I got this game yesterday and it won't show up when I opened my Ubisoft page.

If you bought it on Steam, it should register the game via Ubi Connect when you start it.

It's not you & it's not your PC or anything. The problem comes from the latest Anno1800 update from Ubisoft itself. You can only wait for a fix. My game does not start either.

I can't start the game. The first time it went though its check, then stopped.
After that when I start it, it simply stops, and repeat.

Well, for me it finally worked. They asked me to link the game to Ubisoft connect and it appeared at this site. And my shortcut from steam now work. I only allowed all these sites with the adm option.
