Can't launch the game

I went to the actual executables for the following
- Steam
- Ubisoft connect (there is like 8 exe files there you need to change)
- Anno itself

In properties for the exe, go to the compatibility tab and set it to run as admin. Although I did this for every possible exe, you probably only need to do it for the anno 1800 exe

I had the same problem as many here. did try all before here. But the comment above here, did the trick.

just added the "Run this program as an administrator" in "Steam\steamapps\common\Anno 1800\Bin\Win64" to the file "Anno1800.exe" file. And that worked! :)

Same issue as others: I keep getting asked for a CD key. I've given up and asked for a refund.

I have the same problem. Anno mod manager is buggy.
1. Replace files https://github.com/xforce/anno1800-mod-loader/releases/tag/v0.9.3
2. Reinstall Uconnect
3. Restart PC
4. Start Uconnect and start ANNO, Do not start from steam

Game wont Start

Hello,

as the title says the game wont start on my Pc and i have no clue why, when i hit play nothing happens at all no ubi connect opens, no error message or anything the play button changes to "running" and 10 seconds later returns to "play".

First of all my specs:
Win 10
Intel I5 4460
16gb ram
Rtx 2060 super
game installed on ssd

Min requirement shouln't be an issue. I already looked for solutions on the internet but all i find is that Dx 12 problem but even that cant be fixed because there is no engine folder and the error description people make of that doesnt fit my problem either.

I hope someone can help me, thanks in advance.

.. if you are using mods you need the new ModLoader file by xforce .. he's already got a working "pre-release" v0.9.3 for GU16 posted ..

The game not launching on Steam

I have the game on Ubisoft and I bought it again on steam but when I tried launching it the game won't start. Any solutions?

Game will not launch after latest update

My game was working a few days ago. Today I got the update and it simply will not start up anymore. When i click play nothing happens, ubi connect does not open. Even when I start ubi connect manually it will not start.

I have updated drivers, restartet pc, checked file integrity to no avail. Anyone got a similar issue and a fix maybe?

Game is running DX 11,
CPU Intel 2600k
GPU Nvidia 2080
16 gig ram
everything on SSD from Samsung

No "activation code"

I just bought this today. The stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Ubisoft Connect launcher is asking for an activation key. When I right click on the game and go to manage, there is no option to view any sort of key.

I'm seriously considering getting a refund. I shouldn't need a separate account, and if I absolutely *have* to then it shouldn't be difficult to get started. Ubisoft has completely botched this, and lost what little respect I had left for them. Terrible.
